I looooove love love love the complicated interpersonal dynamics between all of these characters. It’s not just this man’s close friends and family attending his funeral, it’s the sons of not one but TWO families who were responsible for his execution! It’s his estranged wife and her best friend who hated him! It’s BOTH of his brother’s children’s mothers. It’s men he fought alongside who haven’t seen each other in years. It’s his weird antique dealer and his shady wizard friends. It’s sooo messy and interesting. Man. What a cool way to introduce this huge cast.
