wait please elaborate on your tag of Aragorn being kind!

like. okay so. there's loads of fantasy characters who are quite obviously at least in part inspired by aragorn. geralt Witcher, Jon snow, etc. this is just my opinion but I feel like the authors really want to evoke aragorn in their characters by making their characters also kings without crowns, or partly immortal, or nomadic all knowing ranger types. but for me at least, I don't think ANY of that is what is appealing or compelling about aragorn. To me what I loved about aragorn even as a kid reading the books is how much he wants to help and extend kindness as a duty. he never denies anyone help. It's so foundational to who he is it's why people want him to be king!! not because of his line, or his knowledge, but because he's kind above everything. he does what needs to be done to be helpful above EVERYTHING. the problem with a lot of knock-off aragorns is that the people writing them think that what makes aragorn cool is that he's dark and mysterious but honestly he's not! he's just....a man with no ego, no hidden agenda, and no reason why he won't help people who need it.
