BIIIIGGG DUMP

Big dump from past art because I haven't drawn twdg stuff in months or even drawn in a while, and I keep disappearing and then coming back and saying im gonna be consistent, but then I disappear again. so im just gonna randomly pop up and post art when I can because I kinda put too much unessacry pressure on myself to be consistent when it never works, I'm sorry for not posting or interacting in awhile 💔

- Zaunites dying to help Piltover in battle while wearing enforcer uniforms, even though Piltover did nothing to earn it

- Silco, one of the few pro-Zaun/anti-Piltover characters from season 1, reduced into a mouthpiece for "forgiving those who wronged you" and letting go

- Jinx, one of the few anti-Piltover characters, becoming redeemed by sympathizing with Piltovians, being apologetic for killing Councilors, and feeling like she should die to allow her sister to be happy with her enforcer girlfriend

- Vi not having any problem with her Piltovian enforcer girlfriend gassing Zaun, and reduced to kneeling for Caitlyn's pussy in a prison cell, where she was locked for years as a child by an enforcer

- Jayce telling Viktor that his disease was never a weakness to be cured even though the disease was caused by Piltover polluting Zaun

- Ekko never calling out Heimerdinger's failings as a ruler nor Vi for joining the enforcers (even though he does in the game), and also risking all the Firelights' lives to help Piltover

- Sevika not having any lines in Act 3, never interacting with Jinx or reacting to Isha's death, and also risking her life to help Piltover, a decision which was made off screen

Remember when Marlon mentioned how he hoped Louis would at least show up for hunting? Implying that he doesn't often do it.

Remember when Louis would rather hit a walker head than do the tasks that needed to be done when you do go hunting with him?

Remember when Louis voted to kick Clementine and AJ out?

Remember when he said it'd be easy for them after AJ talked about his feet bleeding?

Remember when he tried to take the weapon away from them, AJ's only defense next to a tiny shiv?

Remember how it was Violet who shoots Lilly with the arrow in the forest, not Louis? Louis just stood there and got shot. Real helpful.

Remember when Louis was a total ass the entire time we knew him, and yet Violet gets all the hate?

Remember when Louis slacked off on boarding up the room at the school because he didn't feel like it?

Since some of you seem to conveniently forget all of this collectively just so you can hate on Violet, one of the only LGBT characters from TWDG that many people look up to and relate to. So no, I will not apologize for pointing any of this out.

I could probably put more too if I remembered, or replayed the season 4 episodes, but right now I'm currently replaying Season 2.

Bayonetta 3 Validates Every Insecurity About My Life, Relationships, and Sexuality

Content Warning: Discussions of heteronormativity, violence against women, harassment campaigns, and anti-bodily autonomy sentiment

Spoilers for Bayonetta 3 

It is a special kind of devastation when a series has such a catastrophic ending that previous, beloved parts of the work become difficult to return to. Today’s go-to example for this kind of eleventh hour collapse is the television series Game of Thrones, which dropped in quality so steadily that its Kubrick stare of a viewing experience can only be encapsulated by a meme of a horse drawing.  Likewise in the world of anime, Wonder Egg Priority proved heart crushing when it turned out that, despite its promising start, the series wasn’t able handle topics like trauma and suicide with the level of nuance and care they merit.  

Much to my dismay, we can now add the Bayonetta games to this list. Developed by Platinum Games with series creator Kamiya Hideki acting as a supervising director, Bayonetta 3 fundamentally misunderstands the themes of the previous games and gives its beloved lead a soul-crushing send off.

Bayonetta 3 turns the titular kink-positive and queer icon into the victim of some of the most frustrating heteronormative tropes that women can suffer under. Bayonetta, who has been embraced as an inspirational figure for the kinky, the rebellious, the femme, and the queer, is reduced to a waspy woman who had a wild streak before settling down. What really rubs salt into this wound of an ending is that I can see my own life following a similar arc to Bayonetta’s, and I hate how appealing it is to me. Between my feelings about the ending of the third game, the drama surrounding its production, and the series’ long-standing controversies, I just felt drained as I watched Bayonetta 3’s credits roll. Which sucks, because the previous two games left me feeling nothing but energized and wanting to be a bolder, braver version of myself.

I think I'm going to get hate for this but I don't like that if Viola replaces Bayonetta in 4 it shows that the video game industry can't handle feminine female protagonists who are comfortable with their sexuality.

After seeing everybody on here kick up a big stink about the ending i was going in expecting to not hate it and say your all overreacting.

And now that i have I've got to say....

I was right

It's fine, I'd even say i mildly enjoyed it. But maybe that's just because i actually like the characters who aren't bayonetta. (Luka, loki, and especially viola) but..like luka and bayo have a kinda cute relationship. They've also definitely had a lot more shared screen time to build there chemistry then Bayo and Jeanne have had.

Also it was kinda clear that viola was luka's and bayo's kid so i would of been expecting it, even if some people we're shouting about the spoilers before the game even came out. (Though it is partially my fault for not filtering out the spoiler tag. But i wouldn't have even been looking at the tag if the whole VA shitstorm hadn't happened)

And viola... she's fun i like viola.

I've got plenty of gripes with the game...but really none stem from the ending.
