8.11 - Bonenzo try to complete Enzo’s bucket list
thewxnderer:
“ Hell hath no fury like a woman” Kai spat out, as h watched the gears turn in the woman. Popping up some other thought and idea to through at him, and she did come up with a rather nice one. Kai scowled and howled and spun unintelligible sounds before he started to laugh and laugh. Growing a tad more maniacal he slamming his fists on the floor and turned over so that he was on his knees and faced away from bonnie. He trashed about before he clutched his chest. When he turned around Kai drew down a stun pistol and fired the electricity mounts at the woman.
And she dropped like a sack of rocks and jerked on the floor like a fish out of water. The taste of blood in her mouth from the way her teeth bit into her cheek. She could barely string a coherent thought together much less hurt him. At least, not intentionally. Her magic still lashed out to cut and burn him as she laid prone on the ground, trying so hard to catch her breath. Fingers clawing at the ground. Brow twitching and little spasms still running through her. “What the fuck do you want, Kai?” She managed to get out, trying to reach up and wipe the blood from her mouth.

enduringlystoic:
Elijah’s brow lifts upwards a little at her accidental slip, a brief smile pulling at the corners of his mouth, before he glances down at himself. He can see why she’d be surprised, of course. Considering she’s used to see him fully dressed. He holds his shirt in one hand, suit jacket draped over the desk behind him, and he sets his shirt aside to take a step closer to her.
“Yes, actually.” Admittedly, he hadn’t planned on her finding him like this. But now that she’s here and his shirt is already off, he supposes they can just get right to it.
“It can’t kill me, obviously,” He begins, turning a little so that she can get a good view of the wound carved in ancient runes down his side. “But it would seem some crafty little witch has managed a spell that’s actually lasting. It’s causing a burning sensation and brief hallucinations, and has lasted three hours so far. I can’t imagine it would take more than a day for my body to heal, but I’d like to know what it is.”
She really wished she had been given more warning to this, but it was pretty easy to get used to once she stood there long enough. so she just shook her head to herself and took a step closer, bending over a little to get a better look at the runes. One hand coming up to trace them with the tip of her finger. She could feel the malevolent magic that twisted in them. The intent.
“These kind of spells are usually anchored by something or else they’d fade too quickly, but I don’t know what these markings are supposed to be.” And she just gave him a look, like she was expecting him to know. Because she was. He was the old guy here who witnessed the birth and death of dozens of languages, both verbal and written. So if this was one he was unfamiliar with, then it was either really old or not from this realm of reality. That opened an entirely different vein of thought.
She rubbed her lower lip and looked away from him, “I don’t know what it is. What do you know about the witch that cast it?” It was a little about helping him through whatever this was and more about seeing if she could buy this other witch a coffee and having a long chat about witchy woo. Cause this was different than what she’d seen. Bonnie leaned in and touched it again, feeling that strange magic spark against her own.
It certainly had a character of it’s own.
enduringlystoic:
Elijah knows she’s not truly angry with HIM. For once in this story, he’s not done anything wrong. But she’s understandably angry, her emotions are heightened, and she’s clearly not handling it as well as she’d like. Being a new vampire is a trying time, learning to control not only your emotions but your new abilities and hunger tests even the most strongly willed individuals.
“Of course they did. You’d be surprised what gets passed along to me.” Sometimes the most tedious of things– but this piece of information was something he’d had to see for himself.
He glances at Caroline as she approaches to attempt to diffuse the situation, and he inclines his head lightly toward her in greeting before he refocuses on Bonnie as she speaks again. He could have settled for a phone call, of course. But he’d wanted to do this in person. They might not have the best track record regarding their interactions– but he certainly wouldn’t have wished this on her.
“It’s fine, Caroline, you needn’t apologize.” He assures the blonde, watching Bonnie for a moment longer before he excuses himself to follow after her. He’s not entirely sure why he does. But something tells him to. “Bonnie,” He waits until he catches up with her, circling around to catch her gaze. “What happened?”
She heard Caroline trying to stop Elijah before he went after her. It sort of gave her a headstart. Her footsteps becoming that much faster as she weaved through the people there. And then he was in front of her and she just stopped before running smack into his chest. She didn’t think she’d actually be trying to run from him. And the people around them were at least lucid enough to give them a wide berth.
Or they were waiting to watch for the show that was a lover’s spat. They weren’t even like that to eachother.
“My friends saved my life after I told them not to and I completed the transition because I didn’t want to die again.” It probably wasn’t the answer he was looking for. It wasn’t specific, it didn’t give the circumstance or why it happened--but she wasn’t obligated to tell him. It wasn’t any of his damn business. “Why do you care?”
enduringlystoic:
He had intended to keep her there a little longer, to indulge in a little more teasing– but he’s not about to make her uncomfortable. Her leg hooks over his hip, her lips meet his nose, and Elijah finds himself leaning down closer to her. “Fine.” He smiles, tilting his head down toward hers to steal a soft, lingering kiss. When he breaks it, he turns his head and reaches over to uncuff both of her hands and toss the cuffs onto the bedside table.
It doesn’t take her long to wrap her arms around him and tug him into a much longer, much firmer, much needier kiss. Her hips rolling up to meet his tellingly. She doesn’t exactly expect him to actually give in right away, no, he was one to tease. He liked to drag it out. After all, he had a reputation for patience. And it was gonna kill her. She was damn sure of that. They definitely needed to talk about this, but taking action seemed a lot more important in that moment. “I can always try to keep my hands up, but I can’t make any promises...” It’s a tease of her own against his lips, her fingers in his hair.
thewxnderer:
He waited and waited until the last second before he muttered some incantation, turning her axe into a balloon axe. He smirked up at her and boned his head, “ now that we have reached a pause, maybe we could talk about our relationship. Personally, I am really liking you right now. the whole survival, ingenious savage trickster act really excites me.” He pressed his hand to his next, concerning healing.
Of fucking course. She rolled her eyes and threw the balloon to the side. It was an illusion. The anger was still there because of course it was. He inspired that in her. Absolute and unshakable fury. Maybe she could just throw some wards up in this room. Put some iron sulfate in them to poison him if he tries to siphon it. “How about we not and I just leave you with your hand? I mean, it’s been your faithful partner for what--the past twenty something years?”
And she’s already stepping away from him, her hands flexing to make the air around him burn the skin he was trying to heal, but not tangible enough to siphon.
Kai: [kicks the door open looking very panicked]
Bonnie: What did you do?!
Kai: NOBODY DIED!
Bonnie: WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT?!
kolhearted:
“BEING INCONVENIENT ISN’T always something to try to avoid,” he remarked, not a hint of contriteness in his tone. “You are a remarkably inconvenient witch; that’s just a fact.” He leaned forward, his canny eyes glinting. “You’re inconvenient for those I dislike just as often as you are to me.”
Surprisingly enough, that didn’t make her feel any better, but maybe she should keep trying to be inconvenient. After all, it wasn’t her job to make other people’s lives easier, but it still felt like sandpaper under her skin. “If I’m remembering right, you don’t like a whole lot of people. And I kinda make it my business to be inconvenient for your family.”
delabor:
“yes.”
“Then I damn well am provoking.”
delabor:
“you were probably being provoking. i could see that.”
“And your definition of provoking would be....making sure my friends don’t die?”
Send me a 🍑 to slap my muse on the ass.

The Phantom of the Opera {Sentence Starters}
“You’re losing it.” What else was she supposed to say to that? He was just laying against the wall, trying to staunch the bleeding--making his healing catch up with how much she’d hurt him. Blood spattered across her cheek. Candles lit in the room and the flames almost touching the ceiling. Anger roiling in her veins along with....relief? No, that wasn’t right. Not the right name to it. Nevertheless, a smirk tilted her crooked mouth. Maybe she did look like one of the angels of old.
Then she raised her axe to swing.

Seduction Starters
“Um, wow.” That came out by accident. Elijah was always wearing clothes. Whether it was a full three piece suit with his hair combed artfully into place to just a button up and a pair of dress pants. There was always something. And he was a good looking man then, just seeing him with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows had her swooning inside. So, him just not wearing a shirt like it was normal? She had to look away for a minute and gather herself.
Don’t be weird about this, Bonnie, you’ve seen loads of dudes without shirts. You grew up in Mystic Falls. It was hot guy central.
She let out a harsh breath and just faced him again like she hadn’t just been gawking at him. “Can I help you with something....Elijah?” If he wanted to throw her off guard, he was doing a very good job at it.
I think I’m gonna move Bonnie back onto my multi. She might occupy a lot of it, but she’ll be easier to maintain there.
enduringlystoic:
Elijah watches as she takes care of her meal, slipping her thumb into his mouth to heal him before compelling him to send him on his way. She’s learned rather quickly, it seems. She doesn’t even make much of a mess when she feeds. But that’s not exactly surprising– she does seem to excel at whatever she puts her mind to.
He doesn’t answer her when she steps forward, throwing around accusations and stepping into his space like she’s about ready to fight him then and there. Oh, she still has that temper… it’s magnified, though, isn’t it? Everything is amplified, and she’s clearly feeling that in that moment. Her reaction so instantly hostile.
He tilts his head when she states that she’s not in the best place, his gaze drifting across her features slowly for a moment before he shakes his head. “I’m not here to ask you for anything.” He begins, his gaze meeting hers as his eyebrow raises. “And I’m not here to satisfy curiosity and follow RUMORS.”
He sighs softly as he looks down at her, before he glances around the club they occupy. “I came to ensure you were okay. But it seems I’ve found my answer.”
Oh that was the wrong answer. Her hackles raised even higher, a little scoff pulling from her mouth as she stepped right into his space. Unafraid as she’s ever been. Except maybe now she should be. She was a vampire, he could just compel her to do whatever he wanted. There were hundreds of vampires, but only one Bennett witch--and now, none. She fucked that up really well.
“Rumors? I didn’t think word would spread that fast.” Her words were as sharp as a razor, “Are you satisfied with it?”
Was her anger toward him fair? No, not even a little, but he was there and he made for a very large and easy target. Even Caroline could see that, and she could feel that gentle hand on her shoulder to pull her out of her reverie of anger. As far as being a vampire was concerned, she was still very young, still needed to be watched.
Bonnie licked her lips, tasting that blood again and feeling the veins crawl all over again, “I’m not okay and I’m not gonna be okay for a while. But you could’ve really settled that with a phone call.” Nope, not even a little repentant. She flicked her hair over her shoulder and went back into the sea of bodies, wanting for her next meal. She could almost hear Caroline starting to apologize on her behalf.
