Hey Olivia! How have you been? I was going to say that you kind of disappeared but now I see that it wasn’t just me, you actually did disappear. No phones, no internet,… wow, admirable. I can’t go a day without checking my Instagram feed now. Or 6D, for that matter! 

Well they keep extending my contract so that’s a good sign, but I’m still teaching the same class. Not that I’m complaining, but no, that’s not the reason. I’m feeling optimistic because–I don’t know. Life is good, I guess. Scary but good, if that makes any sense? What about you, Olivia? How have you been? Did you have fun with your family?

I like to detox from time to time! Just to remind myself I can actually survive offline, you know? Need to keep up with my hippie image!

Scary but good! That’s the best sort of good, take it from me. You can ask Bea, too. Scary but good is brilliant. And I’ve been well! Visited Oregon with Albie before the new year, been working on maybe getting a new sanctuary opened in Italy, can’t complain at all.

Hello from Down Under!  It is currently 3PM on Saturday afternoon, and my goodness, it’s absolutely spectacular here.

We’ve taken in the sights around the city and the harbor.  Done a little bit of shopping.  Sampled some of the local cuisine (vegemite is…not my cup of tea, but Tim Tams are delicious), and we’ll be heading to the koala sanctuary on Sunday.  In the meantime, Dara has taken to spontaneously channeling her inner kangaroo, and hopping in excitement at nearly every turn.  Seeing her so happy and smiling this much has made this journey so worth it.

G’day, mates! Love Oz, so much to see it’s unreal! Hope you loved the koalas and everything else. I assume you’re in Sydney? If you’d fancy a visit to a wonderful sanctuary after your koala adventure, I know my mates at Peanuts would love to host and give you both a tour! No koalas, I’m afraid, but plenty of farm critters to love on.

I know 2016 was a difficult year in general, it certainly was for me too, but it also brought me so much joy and–I don’t know–I have a feeling 2017 will be my best year yet!

None, I’m afraid. Thought I’d had one when I first started uni, but then I married him so I suppose it doesn’t count.

Do you have any “rules” about food?

Don’t know about rules. I try to eat locally grown, sustainable, and organic. I’m lucky in that my food budget isn’t an issue, so I can afford to take the extra time and money to buy from small local shops and make sure I’m supporting business models I believe in whenever I need something I don’t grow myself. But if I’m going out or eating at someone’s house, I’m not going to ask about where every ingredient has come from. I try to be flexible. Bit of a hippie, me. Always have been.

You and your sister are freaky friday-ed for a day, what do you do, who do you avoid, and how do you get switched back?

I enjoy the stardom and lifestyle of the rich and famous, of course! I’ll avoid Frannie, because I don’t think she’d believe it’s me inside Bea’s body and can you imagine the mess? I’d either ruin everything by pushing her away, or feel awful forever for not pushing her away. We’d get switched back when, as an act of selfless love, Bea decided to indulge her little sister’s fantasies and catch Chris under the mistletoe.
