This is my petition to have Tom Selleck play the King in the live action Rapunzel.
I mean:
The mustache and eyebrows are just the immediate correlation. I think he'd be perfect.
They could age him down a bit in the beginning. And the. The king obviously looks older than the queen so they could let him be his older self at the end. I don't know. Whenever I watch tangled and see the king, I have always thought of him. Plus he's done with Blue Bloods so...
Memory of a Killer
I'm not even 15 minutes into the first episode and Patrick Dempsey cannot escape a character surrounded by Alzheimer's if his life depended on it.
Does anyone else ever think about how Fiyeraba, at its core, asks and answers two of the most classical story questions about unconditional love? The handsome, charming prince wonders if his partner would still want to be with him if he didn't have the trappings of his status and title. The misunderstood, wrongfully vilified young woman wonders if her partner would stand by her, even at great personal cost and against the entire world. And for both of them, the answer is an immediate and resounding "YES, of course, what even is this question."
Because I do.
How anyone doubts Fiyero and his love is just insane. The man walked through a tornado to find his green girl wife some fierce and loyal protection. Saved her AGAIN from the Gale Force. He took the time to EXPLICITLY SAY: “Protect HER”. Reaffirming to everyone present of his love for Elphaba and thus confirming his intention to die for her safety. Held a gun to he’s ex fiancé’s head to buy her time to escape. In that 5 minutes of screen time he does more for Elphaba than anyone else in both films.
How do people doubt him. I DON’T UNDERSTAND.

So many thoughts, but the fact that the last shot of the movie is the Broadway Playbill image is brilliant.
if I had a nickel for every time Suzanne Collins killed a character off by having them be swarmed by small creatures till they were nothing but bones I’d have atleast two nickels!
I love that Ares and Gregor are commonly depicted with this Hiccup and Toothless relationship or Percy and Blackjack but like in all reality this sweet goofy 12 year old is being piggy backed by this hulking terrifying fully sentient adult man that has almost zero moral reservations and is feared by almost everyone and for damn good reason. Ares just carries this kid metaphorically and literally and goes along with whatever bullshit they decide on cause. Like. Whatever, sure, we're bros let's do it.
He's a trained soldier who's been to battle and has killed and will do it again. He saw an infant rat pup and was like 'Oh thank fuck it's defenseless, let's just throw it in the river and be done.' And 'Oh shit it's a baby, my dumbass 11 year old bond with a heart of gold will never allow this oh fuck oh shit please no.'
He's ALSO such an attentive, comforting dude who knows how to handle distressed kids (COUGH HENRY COUGH) and really looks out for them and their peace of mind. Bro keeps his word and bro minds his vows religiously and NOT just out of legal obligation. He is above and beyond ride or die. He shares a braincell with a 12 year old New Yorker. If someone shoved the kid Ares wouldn't give two shits about ending their life. He's a huge asshole who can say things that destroy people but never lets Gregor see that side of him because like. He's Gregor's bond now and as a team they don't do that they gotta be nice. He has very few shits to give and he gave them all exclusively to like four or five people.
Ares is a sweety the way a 200lb guard dog is a sweety.
Everyone was traumatized by Ampert and I get it but us Underland Chronicles fans KNEW Suzanne was capable of this. EVERY SINGLE BOOK EXCEPT FOR ONE FEATURED A CHARACTER GETTING EATEN ALIVE. AND IT WAS HORRIFYING

The most unrealistic thing about Jurassic World Rebirth is that Jonathan Bailey's glasses never fell off. The dinosaurs were more realistic than that.

Stream of Consciousness after my 4th watch of Wicked:
Kristen Chenoweth's orb goes out and she looks around, before tapping it on Idina's, bringing it back on.
Idina has a moment with a citizen in a wheelchair - nod to Nessa
When Elphaba and Glinda get to the doors of the Palace, if you look pass them you can see the Players taking a bow.
When the Wizard says "Where I come from" there's a bit of a southern drawl in his voice.
Madam Morrible had lots of one on one time with Elphaba, which meant that she probably knew all of the awful, horrible words that would have the most effect to use against her.
I'll have to listen to the score, but it sounded like "Thank Goodness" started to play after Glinda jumped onto the train - the part "couldn't be happier".
(I noticed this on my first watch) but "No one mourns the wicked" plays when the crowd is cheering for Elphaba on the train. It is the first and only time that they would cheer for her. The next time they cheered (with that song) would be at her "death".

Glinda gave Fiyero the practice wand at the Ozdust and then she has it for "Popular" so Fiyero had to bring it to her.
Elphaba had to accept and love her inner child in order to get the broom to come to her (I could psychoanalyze the heck out of that moment).
Fiyero leaves the girls alone for one (short) day, and all hell breaks loose.
The book Fiyero originally holds at the start of "Dancing Through Life" is "Forbidden Corn" or something along those lines. We love subtle foreshadowing. He has many a foreshadow. (His stance, "Get stuffed", his dancing, etc.)
Madame Morrible is the queen of manipulation. Her hugging Glinda at the end, and finally giving her the attention and validation that Glinda craved from the start. Just. Ugh.
The typany after the flashback in "No One Mourns The Wicked" alters my brain chemistry every time.

fiyero's point of view of part one is hilarious. He leaves elphaba and glinda to themselves for one day and now Elphie is wanted by the government and glinda is technically a prisoner/is kissing up to the wizard and super sad about Elphie. The throuple is in danger and now he's left to hold the braincell.
