There's been a lot of amazing things happening in my life this summer, but I've found that I'm spent - exhausted - tired. I've been serving and trying to juggle my professional and personal life. I feel like I have been giving pieces of my self to each part. I've been super overwhelmed this week - I've felt like I don't have enough to give anymore. I woke up with my heart literally yearning for time with God. Nothing else can fill me up. I can't love my family, boyfriend, friends, students or my job unless I seek Him. I can't even serve His people until I seek Him. Friends, we can get soooo caught up on the hype of busy and doing things, but do they fill you up? I can honestly say that NO they don't. There comes a time where you have to stop and rest and unplug. I'm learning that I can't be Tonyette without seeking Him for guidance and wisdom. I can't do life alone and in my own strength. Y'all, I'm tired, but I'm seeking the solitude and rest Jesus desired for Himself and His disciples. I can't do life without spending time with Him. Please, rest in whatever way that is for you individually 💛 "But the Son of God stands and calls to us, just as He called to the Twelve. He calls us to come away and rest for awhile, to remember He is who He says He is. Yes, we are weak and weary, but we are invited to stay near the very Son of God.
