i saw a post floating around about leona being a women respecter and i think it's true, but also. he would respect fem!mc without bending over backwards to do things for her. he wouldn't suddenly wake up from a nap and decide to change his ways bc fem!mc told him to, that's not how that works sjfksdjf he'd still be the same old leona at the end of the day.

even if he grew up in a matriarchal society, i can see him not getting physically aggressive with a girl, but i can also see him cursing out a girl if he got disturbed from his nap— kinda like, you respect me, i respect you, but also don't mess with me and give me a reason to disrespect you (not to mention the word respect doesn't mean doing everything for you and immediately acting nice bc you fulfill a certain criteria. that's plain old servitude)

to preface : i hope everyone is having a better time than i did pulling for hween jade and the other hween cards *cries real tears*

i started off strong with getting hween lilia at my first single pull, BUT SADLY....nothing of significance (unless you count getting 8 MORE hween lilia cards significant) UNTIL i hit 90 pulls:

dorm cay-cay's home !!! and he brought along jack's hween SR ! (which means i don't have to pull on his rate up woooo) and so what follows is the pity 10 pull,,,,,

OUGHHH my blood pressure was rising again just looking at it jskfjdkf but yes <///3 sadly no jeido in the pity pull, i got my fav hyena boy instead tho !!

n e ways, having nothing to lose (except for the 100-pulls worth of gems n keys i just threw at the game—) i decided to pull some more and—

I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED ???? i wasn't even paying attention UNTIL I HEARD CATER'S VOICE AND THEN I WAS LIKE WAIT...THIS ISN'T HIS DORM CARD.... how the hECk did i manage to get the 0.03% probability of getting him BUT NOT get the 0.9% probability of getting jade *sobs*

so. having somehow. done that (gestures at dorm cater, dorm ruggie, aND hween cater sitting in my account) i decided to do one ditch pull,,,,

all i can say is. at least he apologized for the wait JSKDFJSKFJ BUT ALSO— (smashes an axe into his door and breaks it down) I PULLED 140 TIMES FOR YOUUUUUUUUU JEIDOOOOOOO

in summary:

1 pull - lilia's hween SR

90 pulls - jack's hween SR + dorm cater SSR

130 pulls - against all odds, cater's hween SSR ??

It’s kinda alarming to me that Malleus has no parents and only his grandmother, Silver is adopted and we don’t know what happened to his parents, and Sebek’s grandfather was the only one mentioned.

I’M THINKING ABOUT THIS TOO!!! I really want to know when Malleus lost his parents because if we go with Silver’s parents dying in this hypothetical war, then ALL of that, it’s VERY recent. 16? 17? years ago at most that’s actually rather terrifying. Now if Malleus’s parents died when he was even younger, that just means the human/fae war has been going on for a VERY VERY long time and only recently has things begun to change a little with Lilia (and Malleus) adopting Silver.  Which country of humans were they at war with? Was Lilia really still in wars as recently as 16/17 years ago? Was Malleus in this war? Is that why people are afraid of him? Maybe the war started BECAUSE of Malleus? Maybe his birth all those centuries ago scared the humans because they could feel his power? Who knows. BTW Thank you to all the comments, reblogs and tags in response to this post btw! I think judging by the way Silver and Lilia talks about Lilia’s past as a soldier, it sounds like he had retired really long ago, so I don’t think he was still fighting 16/17 years ago, I don’t really have proof though. And if the Valley of Thorns had been at war with a human country so recently, I think other humans in NRC would fear Malleus (and Lilia too tbh) a whole lot more. So I think it’s safe to assume that peace has been the status quo for at least a few decades.

I also think Malleus lost his parents since he was very young, but again I don’t have proof, I just feel like the way he talks about his grandmother giving him cards and rose seeds sounds like she’s been doing that for a long time. Or, imagine what if Lilia was not appointed as Malleus’s caretaker just to protect him, but because his parents died. That would mean they died when Malleus was barely a toddler and that’s presumably 100 years ago.

Taking all that into account, there’s no way Silver’s real parents and Malleus’s parents could’ve died in the same war. But when I shared your posts to a friend, she raised an interesting point — what if Silver was actually born 100+ years ago as well but Lilia (or Malleus) put a sleeping curse on him so he only woke up 17 years ago? Although we can’t think of a convincing reason Lilia (or Malleus) would do that to a human baby yet, it’s not entirely inconceivable, is it? Diasomnia is based on Sleeping Beauty after all.

Yeap that makes sense to me! I get the same impression too, Diasomnia sure has a lot going on for them, their arc can go many ways. OH building on what your friend raised maybe it’s to… prolong his life? IIRC In the original Sleeping Beauty didn’t the kingdom sleep for 100 years, unchanging like time stopped? I’m thinking about that Cater SSR Halloween story and the talk about family relationships and attachments. A while back the idea was playing around in my head that Silver sleeps so much because it’s like a … mini life preservation thing, lowkey cryostasis. So he can live longer and spend more time with Lilia and Malleus (and Sebek too if his lifespan is longer as a half fae) since he’ll inevitably die before them. Though it’s likely just sleepy boi being sleepy wwww I wonder if Lilia and Malleus ever gave Silver any gifts too, like what the fairies did at Aurora’s christening! Maybe that’s why he’s so pretty :o
