Sorry I haven’t been on here - I’ve been focusing on other accounts and also alot of shit has been happening IRL so I haven’t bothered to jump around accounts at all. For now I guess I’m on a bit of a semi- or even full hiatus until things calm down irl. At the very least until I actually have some days off of work to focus on other accounts.

Well, Ienzo really hated talking to strangers. But, this guy seemed to match the description he had gotten from that blond boy (whom he had already forgotten the name of). So this man couldn’t be all bad right?
“Here.” He said, offering one of the sea salt ice creams in his hand to the taller man. He was going to bring it to his father butttt the man was to busy for him.
“Huh? For me?” He was more than surprised to receive a gift from a young boy he didn’t know, rather than some troubling story involving Unversed. He eyed the ice cream, though, before taking it from smaller fingers. A polite smile surfaced upon tan features.
“Thank you.” Truth be told, he didn’t care for sweet things, but he couldn’t deny a nice kid, apparently. “What’s your name?” He asked, genuinely curious of his new acquaintance.
There’s a nod that follows the stranger’s question and he waits for the stranger to take the ice cream before saying or doing anything else. At least he had accepted the gift, he didn’t think the brunette would for a moment there.
“Name?” He repeats the stranger’s question before actually answering it. “It’s Ienzo.” He said quietly, taking a bite of his own ice cream moments later.
“What’s yours?” Not that he would remember it, but it was polite to ask no?

He looks up from his book and stares over at Lea. Was he serious? Honestly he couldn't’t tell. But with that ever so arrogant air Lea had about him, Ienzo could venture a guess that the answer was probably yes. Yes he was serious.
“I don’t see what’s so interesting.” Perhaps that was one of those things he should really keep in his head, but he turns his head back towards his book and lets the comment linger anyways. In a way, he couldn’t see. Being face blind only lets him see so much.
‘If you don’t like me talking so much, then why do you come to see me every so often? Or bother starting a conversation?”

such a DRY remark earned from the redhead at the neutral insult from the other male. though it is followed by an amused snort, clearly no offense is taken. instead, he allows silence to blossom between them. nonetheless, surprisingly enough, Lea arches a brow when Ienzo is the one to break it.. with an admittedly tricky question.
❝becaaause,❞ drawing out the single word, he crosses his arms over his chest just before continuing quickly. ❝–sometimes y’say things that make me think. that’s all. plus no one else’s around and you… always are. seriously, y’should get a job or something. a hobby. a girlfriend, maybe. but that’s kind of unlikely for ya, so scratch that.❞
“I have a job thank you. And I have no interest in a relationship.” Are the first words out of his mouth after Axel finishes his ramble.
“I’ve been helping with the restoration of the castle, which requires me to be here most of the time. I have a small house in the city but I hardy use it for anything other than a comfortable sleeping space.” There was hardly anything in the small house as well - just the basic he needed.
“What about you? Don’t you have something to do besides come to talk to me?”

Sorry I haven’t been here in awhile ienzo hasn’t been working with me and then things got crazy at work again so I might end up working all week again sighs. I really don’t want to have to train another new person but I’ll have to.
“Ah, yes, they all come by when they get the chance and help out. Even if it’s just bringing us all some food.” He’s fiddling with the edge of the pages of his book as he spoke. He’s not the best at looking people in the eye either.
“I can hardly make them not come, seeing as they’re the founding members of the Committee.” Even if there was a bit of tense air at first. Things seemed to be working out, slowly but surely.
“You could always come and see the progress for yourself.”
Isa didn’t even notice the lack of eye contact, given how busy he was looking over Ienzo’s shoulder instead of directly at his face. It was true that the Committee wasn’t likely to be put off, but Isa was sort of surprised to hear the Apprentices hadn’t tried. Even at least he would’ve expected to put up a stink; Vexen’d always been far too invested in position. Having to see him seemed like it’d be a punishment more than anything, not to mention Dilan.
But Isa was curious. Seeing the inside of the castle was poor reward for his years of Nobodyhood, but it was something.
“…Maybe I will,” Isa allowed. “…At least to see the Library.” A desire to see that, and a resentment it was off-limits to the public, had been a huge motivating factor in trying to sneak in there in the first place, back then.
“Well the library is one of the areas that it’s safe to enter,” Though it’s still kind of a mess - not all the books have been returned and there was still ruble around but at least it was safe enough to walk around. Just moving the rest over ruble out and fixing the shelves and it could be as good as new. Maybe not as great as it was - but close enough.
“So you’re welcome to come by to see that. If one of the workers give you trouble you can simply give you my name and they’ll leave you be.”
Ienzo is quick to stay right next to his father and hurry towards the steps. He was glad to be away from the strange man, looking forward towards the city and around at the scenery. There was a wave from a citizen here or there, but that was to be expected. His father….well, he was royalty. So was Ienzo, technically speaking–
His thoughts were halted by his father speaking, and he looked up towards the elder as he thought. What did he like best? Well, everything was so beautiful, it was difficult to pick one thing. But then, a word is slipping out of his mouth without much thought at all.
“The people.” Ienzo said, looking forward again. “I can’t… tell them apart-” Because of this —this thing he had This stupid faceblindness. “But…they’re good people.”
His son’s stilted words stand in contrast with the calm pace of their stroll, garnering Ansem’s attention. He watches Ienzo, noting if he is walking too fast for the young boy or hampering his ability to speak in some other way. But the answer, careful and thoughtful for all of its awkward delivery, is worth a smile and fond squeeze of the hand.
“You say you cannot tell them apart, but I’m sure that’s only a temporary setback.” His voice is confident and almost secretive in its quietness, like he’s confiding in the little boy. “There is much more to a person than their physical appearance–what they say to those around them, how they present themselves, where they dedicate their energy. You need only to observe and you will find ways to tell people apart without ever meeting them face to face.”
Even as he sees Merlin’s house in the distance, the king continues with his commentary. “Let’s take Merlin, for example. What did you know of him before you were introduced?”
He looks up at his father at the statement. Temporary? But he had been told he was going to be stuck with this thing his whole life. There was no way to get rid of it. No matter how much he wanted to.
Ienzo pays all of his attention towards his father’s words - thinking that he had all the answers. But what child didn’t think that of their parents? Or any adult really. But...more to a person than just their physical appearance...huh. He--He hadn’t quite thought about it that way. Everyone around him could recognize someone at a single glance from their appearance.Maybe he was just...envious of that.
“Merlin-...um--” It takes him a moment to think of what he knew beforehand. “That he was old...a wizard, and wore blue alot?” But he couldn’t depict age from appearance either, so he was more reliant on the other two it looked like
Okay I’m here for awhile, sorry I haven’t been on in awhile. I’m at the very least going to get to my drafts then maybe put up a starter call
I’m going to be busy the next few days with multiple thigns - i’ll try to get replies done bewteen them but I can’t make promises
not really feeling ienzo’s muse rn but i’ll try to get my drafts done soon
I should be able to get over here later this week since management hired someone else to help pick up the slack so i won’t have to work everyday anymore
College au where person A always falls asleep in the campus common room between classes and person B is a total stranger who sits by them to make sure no-one fucks with them. Bonus; person B always leaves before person A wakes up. Bonus Bonus; Person A always wakes up to a cookie and a steaming hot tea placed by their books and they don’t know who keeps leaving it.
Looks like i forgot to put it here but for those of you that don’t follow my other accounts - One of my coworkers had to quit the other day so I’m having to work Mon-Sat (so p much everyday) until management hires someone new. not to mention my only other coworker might be getting a different job too so -
yeah i’ll either be active in the mornings or on the weekends
