I mostly post about DC comics, specifically red hood, green arrow (+ arrowfam), and green lantern. I do also like some marvel, mostly black widow and the winter soldier.
Some specific characters i post a lot about are jason todd, kyle rayner, mia dearden, oliver queen, hal jordan, and rose wilson
I am mia dearden's biggest fan everybody should read mia
Look at her, I love her.
I also write a lot, and am far more proud of my writing than my various shitposts, and my fics can be found with the #my writing tag, and I will link some here
Speedy and the Outlaws AU: my personal magnum opus and a rewrite of post cry for justice arrowfam where I attempt to fix that absolute dumpster fire and make all of my favorite characters friends. Also has its own tag (#speedy and the outlaws au)
Jason gets a visit from the spectre during lost days. It doesn't change anything
Jacob Hayes. 37. Expert markman. Hunter. Deceased.
Jason made sure of that. Hayes liked to hunt, seems harmless enough, but his preferred prey was human. He was good at it too. As it turned out, he wasn't so good when the roles were reversed. Jason got him with a shot to the back and finished him off with a slit throat. Another former teacher dead. Another monster that would never hurt another person.
He felt nothing about the affair. He had been racking up quite the body count, but it all meant nothing to him. There were only two men on this Earth who's deaths would illicit an emotional response out of him, and all of his training was working up to the day both the Batman and the Joker were dead by his hand.
Jason casually dropped the hunting knife on the floor next to where Hayes gurgled his last breaths and went to wash his hands in the sink. The cabin Hayes resided in was very remote, miles away from civilization and surrounded by a dense forest, so there was no rush to clean up the mess he made. He could rest for a bit and plan his next move. More important he'd have to figure out a way to explain to Talia that he killed yet another teacher.
Jason saw something in the corner of his eye and whipped his head around. Green smoke billowed up from behind the door. That probably wasn't good. He hadn't anticipated there being company for a couple of hours at the least. The smoke swirled around in the center of the room and took form of a flowing green cloak with the pale ghostly form of a man underneath. That was definitely not good. Jason had never encountered him, but he recognized the figure from Bruce's files. The Spectre. God's spirit of vengeance and powerful ally to the JSA.
"Jason Todd," the apparition greeted in a booming voice. Jason knew his track record wasn't exactly squeaky clean, but surely he wasn't bad enough to warrant this. At least not yet anyway.
"Hey there, Casper," Jason said faux-causally. Hard to be casual when a supernatural entity with immense amounts of power decides to stop for a house visit. He stepped away from the sink and propped himself up to sit cross-legged on the countertop. The owner was too dead to complain about his ass being on the kitchen counter, and Jason figured it wouldn't matter in the long run since the Spectre was here to smite him or whatever the hell God's wrath entailed. "How's it going?"
"I'm assuming you know who and what I am."
"Yeah yeah. You're the Spectre. God's vengeance and all that jazz. Uhhh... Jim Corrigan, right? Look if you're here to throw me back into Satan's eternal hot tub make it quick, I've got shit to do."
"Corrigan's soul has been laid to rest and the spirit of vengeance has chosen a new host."
"Cool. Good for him, or whatever. Look, elephant in the room, are you here because of him," Jason pointed to the cooling body on the floor. "Or is it everything else I've done and am currently planning on doing?"
"You didn't let me finish."
"So," he drew out the o, "you're gonna smite me for interrupting you?"
"I am not here to cast judgement, but rather to issue a warning. Perhaps you will recognize this form and understand that I am trying to save you." The Spectre's cloak dissolved into green smoke that enveloped the man. It dissipated after a moment and revealed an eerily familiar man with graying brown hair and bomber jacket.
Wait.
"Jordan?" Jason gawked. He jumped off the counter and took a few steps towards him. This just got interesting. He heard about what happened to Coast City, how could he not, and how the former Green Lantern went mad with grief and tried to destroy the universe and rewrite it in his own image. He also heard about how the man seemingly redeemed himself when he relit the sun, and died doing so. He was supposed to be dead, but then again, so was Jason. He laughed at the irony. "Looks like I'm not the only undead sicko in this room. No offense, Jordan, but I always took you for more of a Star Wars guy than Supernatural, but hey, things change, people change, congrats on the new gig, and the, y'know, not being dead thing."
"Thanks," Hal responsed sarcastically. "Kid-"
"I'm not a kid," Jason snapped.
"You died at twelve and rose from your grave six months later," Hal started. "You're sixteen now and spent the better half of those in-between years as a body without a soul. You lost years of your life. Even if you feel that your trauma has aged you, you're still a child. You just never had a chance to be one."
"Yeah. Whatever." Jason's childhood or lack thereof was not what he wanted to be talking about. Especially with his former Dad's formerly evil and formerly dead coworker. "So you said you're here to warn me, right? About what?" He narrowed his eyes and looked up at him. "Does Bruce know I'm alive?"
"I'm trying to save you from yourself. The path you're on now will only lead to more hurt. Believe me," Hal paused. "Bruce doesn't know, and I won't tell him. Your death was an injustice, and his response even moreso. You should be the one to inform him of your survival. I'm not taking that away from you. And besides," he grinned and his eyes crinkled with the motion, "Old Spooky isn't exactly my biggest fan right now."
"I can't imagine why," Jason huffed out a laugh.
"The things I did as Parallax were unspeakably horrible." Hal's voice turned grim. "I will not deny that. I have many regrets, and the Spectre has given me the second chance I needed to make things right. You got a second chance too. Don't let your quest for vengeance consume you the way it did me." He grabbed Jason's hands and looked him dead in the eye. It was like Hal was looking into his soul itself. Not the most pleasant sensation. The green smoke started swirling around him again. "You're destined to do great things, Jason. It's up to you if you will do great evil or good. I wish I could say for certain, but can't interfere anymore than this. I have to leave now." He let go and he changed back into the form of the Spectre. Jason took a step back on instinct. "I have faith in you, Jason, make me proud."
The smoke surrounded him and disappeared like it was never there at all. Jason was left alone again, in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with a cooling body that he still needed to dispose of and a million more questions running through his mind.
I need a speedy and red hood miniseries where they go from begrudging allies to friends. I need them to have an in depth discussion on how ollie and bruce's mentorship affected them. They need to talk about how their childhoods affected them and come away with a mutual understanding. I need mia to beat up bruce
One of my favorite parts of jaykyle fics is the sheer variety of second meetings authors design for them post-Countdown, and I think I've cooked up possibly the funniest scenario: blind date.
I'm pretty sure the Countdown Trio's adventures have been mentioned once or twice to other superheroes, but let's pretend that it hasn't come up or flashpoint/rebirth shenanigans mean that only they remember it. Now imagine a Jason Todd and Kyle Rayner who are coming to terms with their homosexual attraction after realizing that they were clearly into each other during countdown ("only in a sexual way though, hate that guy" - both of them), and they're constantly complaining to other Titans about how hard it is to find guys to date in the superhero community, considering people are already cagey with their civilian identities let alone their sexual orientations. Some well meaning Titan is like I know we can just set them up with each other.
So Jason and Kyle walk into this date, see each other, and contemplate immediately walking out, except also they were each other's gay awakenings, so both decide to go through with the date to get to the sex part. On the date, they discover that hanging out with each other in a low-stakes environment is actually really fun, and hey maybe we should try this whole dating thing. Meanwhile the Titans want to know how their date went, so they ambush them at the end only to see Jason and Kyle bickering like an old married couple and they're like you guys just met? Tonight???? Except Donna who learned about the whole plot to set up Jason and Kyle late, was prepared for disaster, but just goes "oh, OH," and then proceeds to give the rest of the Titans the highlights of jaykyle's flirt-fighting during the Countdown trip.
the curious case of the girl who hate red hood and the outlaws (2011) and love the idea of Jason, Roy and Kory friendship, exploring the traumas they have

As of today, it's been 1203 days (approximately 3 years and 3 1/2 months) since DC published an ongoing comic book centering a Black character in its mainline continuity. I'm using this poll to bring awareness to some Black characters who I think could use some love. Fem edition.
Working with the general public kinda sucks because people randomly appear five nights at freddy's style and jumpscare you when youre in the middle of a conversation with your coworker. Anyway thats the story of how i accidentally said the phrase "id rather get a frontal lobe lobotomy than think about that" in front of some random guy
just occurred to me that if jason hadn't died and stayed robin then steph would've met him while she was doing her spoiler stuff. that would be so interesting oh my god. specifically spoiler steph trying to put her dad in prison interacting with jaybin post-aditf (and the damage I believe that would've done to his relationship with bruce). oh what a fucking cool dynamic that could be.
I actually think Megan Thee Stallion is perfect for Starfire/Koriander, tall, strong, tanned and objectively beautiful? its a match made in heaven but Anna Diop will always have my heart
