I would love to see this account active again, I'm new to the community and it makes me sad to feel like I've missed out on everything! Seems like there's no active doll lifestyle blogs around anymore...

Unfortunately I think most of us have gotten caught up with things in real life and don't have time to keep up this blog :( but there certainly is a community! It seems to me that a lot of people in the doll community tend to advertise their social media as aesthetic instead of doll though.

Hey yall I haven't been active on this blog in ages but I just wanted to give a friendly reminder that you can buy reusable menstrual products such as the diva cup or cloth pads

Just in case you wanted to be eco friendly or save cash or otherwise be careful 💕

You also could probably make reusable pads if you are crafty and if you are like me and are not, I was able to buy a set of 12 for less than $25 💕

Is this blog still active?

It isn’t right now, to be honest. I’m still active on tumblr on my main blog, so I still see notifications directed to it. But I haven’t been in contact with the other mods in quite some time and it’s been a while since any of us have posted content here.

I’m not sure if there are any other mods keeping an eye on the blog, but I’d be willing to talk about plans going forward if so.

Iri’s Guide to Silky Hair

1) Use good quality shampoo and conditioners- they don’t have to be super expensive either. I use John Frieda Beyond Smooth Frizz Immunity shampoo and conditioner and they’re only $9.99 each. They leave my hair super soft and silky, and very healthy. I’ve tried a lot of different brands (including more expensive ones) and John Frieda remains my favorite

2) Let conditioner soak in hair for about 5 minutes

3) Detangle hair in shower while before rinsing out conditioner

4) Rinse hair with cold water

5) Find a good leave in conditioner/detangling spray. I love Not Your Mother’s All Eyes On Me 10-in-1 hair perfector. I spray it on immediately after leaving shower while my hair is still soaking wet. It only takes a few sprays, I usually do 3 on each side of my head starting at the ends of my hair and doing the last spray at about my ear level and it does a wonderful job of preventing tangles and getting rid of any that showed up after detangling hair in the shower.

6) Comb hair out and let air dry. I don’t use a towel or anything, I just let mine drip/air dry. Since it takes a long time for my hair to dry I always wash it right before bed. Using a silk pillowcase will help prevent tangles while you sleep and in my experience the All Eyes On Me leave in spray does a great job of preventing tangles even without using a silk pillow case

Of course! You don’t have to have perfect skin to be a living doll; if you want to be one and dress like one and stuff then you are one! It’s about having fun with your fashion/aesthetic, not about being perfect ☺️ so use how ever much or however little makeup you want

i have horribly open pores and every photo shows it any ways i can minimize that look so my face looks more porcelain

Avoid face wash or exfoliators with the little beads in them, of any material. They clog up your pores and make them open. Try to find exfoliators that are made out of fruit acid (like pineapple) because that gets rid of the dead skin build up without clogging pores.

Hold a warm wet wash cloth over your face to open the pores, then wash your face and rinse with cold water to help close them. Toner also works well to close your pores so that they don’t get any ickyness in them that makes them seem big. Use moisturizer after toner as well 😊

I prefer the Sephora brand Essentials Kit for skin care, and also their exfoliator pads. The kit is only like $20 and I think the exfoliating pads are like $15ish? Honestly the best skincare stuff I’ve ever used and I’ve spent the last year or so switching between brands to find which worked best. The only one I liked more was Drunk Elephant but that’s super expensive and honestly the Sephora kit is just as effective. Plus the face wash has toner in it so that’s one less step!

The kit comes with face wash, moisturizer, and a clay mask. The exfoliating pads are separate but I don’t remember them being too expensive for how well they work.

You also can talk the the Sephora workers and they can answer more specific questions for you as well ☺️

Sure! I think a lot of the mods on this blog have gotten a little too busy to maintain it, so it would be nice to offer a more active community space to those dollies who’ve been relying on us.

Hello! I'm new to the living doll lifestyle, but I'm still really really excited about it. My question is: where I live it gets really cold during winter. Lots of snow and ice. How do I dress up for winter as a living doll? I prefer the cutesy lolita look! Lots of frilly dresses and pink!

Plenty of lolita brands carry outerwear. You could invest in a couple of good coats and maybe even some capes (You’d be surprised how much extra warmth a cape can add). Clobba is a shopping service I’ve had good experiences with in the past.

Fleece lined tights or thermals can help keep your legs warm. That, and some knee-high boots. You could get a cute, girly pair of those from lolita (or other j-fashion) brands, too.
