He laid still, hand simply resting on his chest as he felt his soul leave him. Someone saw him falling. Someone saw. Oh that was embarrassing-

“I’m…okay…” he barely got out, beginning to slowly rise into a seated position. He looked up at the other, “only you saw, yes?”

Toris could tell that Berwald had some shattered pride, and offered a hand to help him up. “I think so? I don’t think there’s anyone else out here...” he muttered.

“Are you sure you’re okay? That seemed like a rough fall...”

Well, this was somewhat embarrassing.

Berwald was, for the most part, in a heap of mess. His cheeks were rosy from the chill of the air and the sheer embarrassment. He had been walking along to work, because it was a beautiful day, and it would have hurt him to do so.

Except…it did hurt him. A lot. The frozen over puddle had caused his feet to go flying over his head, as his back crunched against the ground.

He was still laying there, wishing the ground would swallow him up. A light “ouch” passed his lips. Berwald hoped to god that no one had seen him.

The winter was a bit hard time for Toris. With his bees in hibernation, and most of the flowers dead, he had to rely on what beeswax and honey products he had from the fall to make it through.

Still, he decided to take a walk in the brisk weather, enjoying the fresh snow on the ground and the pretty day.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Doctor Berwald taking a walk, to what looked like his work place. He was about to offer a wave, but surprisingly saw the other man slip and fall to the ground. With a small gasp, Toris came over, being careful not to slip himself. ‘Doctor Berwald, are you alright?!” he asked, sounding worried.

[turns to face the other, as his German Shepherd, Berlitz, comes to sniff at the man’s feet] ja, only just.

[allows the other past, as he finishes putting out a little dog shaped sign saying ‘we’re open~’ on the street] it’s nice to have a customer. [hes actually really giddy about it, but his face doesn’t say so all that much]

Hmm...with flowers like these, I’d put them in the living room. But anywhere they get put will certainly brighten up the room!
