Night
But how do you describe the night
The freedom that it holds?
Silence like a blanket
And emptiness that feels so full
A symphony of light and darkness
Stories waiting to be told.

I don’t know when I was last on tumblr. I know it’s been well over a year. I got so busy, and I haven’t written much. Now I’m back, and I hope to share my innermost thoughts and ramblings again, along with other meaningful things.
“A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved.”
— Kurt Vonnegut, The Sirens of Titan (via books-n-quotes)
“In my heart there was a kind of fighting That would not let me sleep.”
— William Shakespeare, Hamlet (via books-n-quotes)
“I did not like to be touched, but it was a strange dislike. I did not like to be touched because I craved it too much. I wanted to be held very tight so I would not break.”
— Marya Hornbacher, Wasted
“And sometimes I have kept my feelings to myself, because I could find no language to describe them in.”
— Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility
“We don’t create a fantasy world to escape reality, we create it to be able to stay.”
— Lynda Barry, What It Is (via books-n-quotes)
“Everything was a broken line for me in those days. I was slipped into the empty spaces between words.”
— Betsy Cornwell, Mechanica (via books-n-quotes)
“A person learns how to love himself through the simple acts of loving and being loved by someone else.”
— Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”
— William Styron, Conversations with William Styron
Serene woodlands lay before me.
The stars have mapped out my path.
I keep wandering under their light, never looking back.
What’s behind me is lost.
My eyes are only focused straight ahead.
I never let them stray for my destination awaits me in the future not the past.

“People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.”
— Emmanuel Torres, Shapes of Silence
“Why did you do all this for me?’ he asked.’I don’t deserve it. I’ve never done anything for you.’ ‘You have been my friend,’ replied Charlotte. ‘That in itself is a tremendous thing.’”
— E.B. White, Charlotte’s Web
“I am on fire with this thought, this need, this chance to escape.”
— Veronica Roth, The Transfer
We exist as
clusters of atoms
selfish in our wants
on this earth, for
we think we are
the whole world,
yet we are merely
passengers.

“Once I saw lighting explode outside my window. It illuminated the night sky, made it a cinema screen. The light seeped into my soul, and played on that screen every sordid story of my life. each ugly, rancid morsel. flashes of mud upon the electric lit sky. It was only for a second. But a lifetime passed in that flash. And it has haunted me ever since.”
