When I go to an erasmus party.
i knew when the moka pot wasnt working it would be a hard day.
i was right
so now i will drink some cheap (yet delicious) wine
Well then we'll see what they say and we'll do what they do But that doesn't mean a goddamn thing You can listen if you want, you can listen if you don't Yeah they'll talk, yeah they'll even sing
the St. Lucia Remix is also fantastic
Wrote about Kanye and Kim K in my italian Journal today because if gofreddo(my professor) does read them, i think he would enjoy learning about kanye.Â
As i wrote about kanye in italian I remembered how much i love him. Not that i really ever forgot.Â
There is a certain level of (over)confidence needed to be a genius and no one can say that Kanye is missing that.Â
But My greatest pain in Life is that I will never be able to see myself Perform
In fact I think that most people wished they loved themselves as much as he loves himself. Call him self centered, conceited, what ever. I chose to look at it as positive energy and belief in his own abilities.Â
âSociety has put up so many boundaries, so many limitations on whatâs right and wrong that itâs almost impossible to get a pure thought out. Itâs like a little kid, a little boy, looking at colors, and no one told him what colors are good, before somebody tells you you shouldnât like pink because thatâs for girls, or youâd instantly become a gay two-year-old. Why would anyone pick blue over pink? Pink is obviously a better color. Everyoneâs born confident, and everythingâs taken away from youâ
he is a genius. Misunderstood. Damaged. But real AF. Some people just donât know what to do with that.Â
Kim K is impossible to stand up for. Sorry not sorry
Get Money. Fuck Bitches. -Nygo
Not going to lie, I kind of/secretly want really hard a tattoo that says Get Money Fuck Bitches. ON my leg. Just a small one. With a heart next to it. I feel like i'd never regret that. I would always find it hilarious
you know what they say... When in rome?
I don't think I am ready for this
Really nothing makes you feel more like a BAMF (Bad Ass Mother Fucker, for those of you that dont know) than listening to this song. Walking home, in the coldest weather ever, with creepy guys staring at me on a normal day would probably be cause for distress but with this song happening it immediately turns into "suck it, go ahead and try." I think im getting the whole ignoring-people-even-when-you-know-they-are-staring-at-you thing down. Because let's be honest, on any other day i would crack under the pressure and probably trip.Â
I would also like to clarify that it is not only about the guys staring at you, it is also about the walking home. I am of the belief that you put on some offensive rap while walking and everything is magically better. Kind of like taking some Felix Felicis (Harry Potter Luck Potion)
The best part is that no one even knows why there is an extra bounce to your step. Not that it matters if they did. Â
Meeting New Peeps
Meeting people is probably one of the most stressful things in the world
even more so than playing fast card games (which everyone knows I hate)Â
But lets be real. Im awkward AF and usually offensive. I try to tone that down when first getting to know a person because you never know how someone will react, but it's always really hard to do when I am not thinking about it.
So it is no surprise that i have already been in situations where two seconds after saying something i am like "oh shit maybe i shouldnt have said that"
and obviously i say that part out loud, so now its definitely not awkward. Just kidding, it is.
Anyway, I was reading the Bologna Map for Young people (because i am a young people) and the second thing on there is
Our dialect and slang forms are pretty explicit, maybe too much, as someone may say
Which, hello?, is the story of my life. Best part of the whole thing? there is a word specifically used in Bologna that "literally means suck it and is used as an intensifier" (the word is socmel in case you want to start using it).Â
So maybe I will find some friends if only because they wont be as offended by my liberal use of the phrase suck it.Â
PS. I was going to google a picture of the hand signal that often accompanies my "suck it" but thought it would be better to avoid that situation...Â
un caffe perfavore
I emailed some pictures to my parents, and this was one of them. My dad promptly emailed back
âIâm glad you are having fun, but the coffee worries me. Because of the heart. You  think im kidding. Iâm not.â
a (Non)Introduction
Woooo Italy!Â
That's how I feel all the time. For some reason everything feels so much more exciting because I AM IN ITALY! As part of our language class we are supposed to be keeping a journal everyday to practice our writing skills, but hello I am lazy. So I'll probably be google translating some/most of these.Â
I hope that because I have to write a journal for class anyway it will mean that I will be more likely to keep up with this blog.Â
So now that I have been here for two weeks I have finally gotten some sort of routine down. I even made myself dinner for the past two nights. Really. And it tasted good! No really. I ate a tomato. And liked it
I must be a different person. Or I'm growing as a human. My real theory however is that everything just tastes better here. Everything is fresh, or so they tell me, and exciting and I'm always drunk (just kidding, other than New Year's Eve which shall never be mentioned I haven't been drunk). I have also avoided any sort of breakdown as of yet, even though when i got here i was homeless and feeling pretty sick. Overall i'm pretty proud of my self. So Good Job Leslie, Keep it up.
(I'm all about the positive energy ha)Â
truth...
every time i see you are available on my fb chat i immediately leave because o know if i stay ill be too tempted to talk to you.Â
its embarrassing.Â
