I have a new closet.
It's great. It got delivered Saturday
I took down my old closet. Donated my dresser. And now I have a new closet with enough space to finally fit all my clothes.
Except
It's not yet assembled.
So currently my living room and guestroom are taken over with clothes. And I am in waiting mode until my dad can come help assemble it this weekend.
But. I have a new closet and it was a lot of money but I'm happy to finally have a decent one after 8 years... Almost.

I find myself constantly checking my bank account. I don't know if that's a normal thing.
Okay so. I've not been updating much. I know.
It's been rough. This week for the first time in way too long I've had some energy to clean. Mostly bc work deadlines made me procastri-clean.
Now. I've been very much focused on food prep lately. And I don't mean meal planning. I just try to buy certain things (like meat) in larger quantity when it's on sale and then freeze it. (Thank you vacuüm machine obsession). I have organized my freezer into "ingredients", "prepared meals/ready to eat) and desserts and snacks.
It's very nice to finally feel like I have a grasp on it. At least for as long as it lasts.
I cleaned my fridge as well. I found a small ranch packet that had expired in 2024. And that was pretty bad. But other than that, it's okay I guess. Now the fridge is clean.
I've been living on my own for almost 8 years now. And it's frustrating how there'll be moments that I feel like everything might be fine and then suddenly everything is really difficult and then a few months ago I was checking something and I realized it's all bc of my fucking menstrual cycle.
Turns out all those moments that I feel I can't get any fucking things done, is in fact pms and the luteal phase and it turns out it affects me massively.
I'm thinking maybe discussing with me psychiatrist to up my adhd meds during those times bc damn.
Yes I'm rambling. You know how it goes.
Currently I'm in my fanfiction writing phase again. So obviously I've written 21 fanfics in the last 2 and a half months. (40k words in total).
It's very much all consuming as is the adhd way.
Financials are going well. As in. So well I keep checking bc I think I forgot to pay a bill. Waiting for that other shoe to drop I guess.
Anyways.

I finished the work mostly
I took some extra meds to get my work done so I'm on a double dose right now and for the first time in weeks I finally feel like I can get things done. It's frustrating bc obviously I can't do a 60mg daily, but the difference is just so noticeable. Is this how neuroptypicals live?
By extra meds I mean I took them so I could work until later on the day and the doses overlap for an hour or two. I did not just take two pills
I have developed the habit of taking off my socks in bed and then putting them next to my pillow so I don't forget to put them in the laundry so now I'm just sleeping next to dirty socks.
Good thing I don't have sweaty feet I guess

2nd: read the books
3rd: watch behind the scenes and interviews with cast
4th: read fanfic
5th: write fanfic
6th: get a tattoo.
I am on level 5
When I say fucked up sleep schedule I mean that, for the last two weeks, I've mostly slept from 5am until 1pm
Which means that right now it's 4.40 and in two hours I have to get up for work.

I was there 2 weeks ago, good luck my friend. Take the strength I didn't have(couldn't sleep the night before until right before I was supposed to work and this didn't)
I did not sleep before work. At some point the clock turned to 6AM, and that's when I realised that it was not going to happy.
Luckily enough I had a colleague drop me off at home after work so I didn't have to brave public transportation.
I was okay, as much as you can be.

It's been over a year since I had an emergency appendectomy. But it still feels like a fever dream.
Heading to the doctor with public transportation, breathing through the pain. Sitting in the emergency room as they do tests. Calling my mom after that confirm it's appendicitis and I need surgery.
It's all such a strange memory.
It was fine
The doctor told me to go home and take a painkiller. Go to the emergency room if it got worse
I went straight to the emergency room instead and after they said it had already burst.
I didn't go home bc I was in too much pain and the hospital was next to the doctor's office.
And at moments I can't help but wonder how it would've gone if I had gone home.
Best not to think about it too much I guess.
I'm thinking. At the end of today I'm going to make a "I've done list". That way I can see that I was actually productive even if it doesn't look like it.

I feel like I've been walking on this edge the last few days. I'm reading books with emotional stories and listening to music with heartfelt lyrics and I am feeling everything and it's the best thing and the worst thing. I want to spend all my money on concert tickets and stand up comedy and go see more musicals. I want to consume art like it's one of the seven deadly sins.
How do I explain this to the people around me. I want to listen to my music and sing and dance along to it without fear of people filming me and then laughing at me by posting it online.
I want to eat good food. Chocolate mousse and garlic shrimp. I want to read and listen to music and watch movies at the same time.
I want everything that makes life worth living and a little bit more. Something to get through the dark months of the year. To see the best of people and nature.
Do you know what I'm talking about?
