My boyfriend and I are close to hitting the three month mark and things have been going amazing. I think I might love him but that’s a whole new thing to me so I honestly have no idea. 

Our sex life has been quite good as well. When I originally told him that I had herpes he asked several questions but in the end said he was okay with it and I honestly cried tears of joy I was so happy. 

Because I have HSV2 and have only had genital outbreaks, I asked my doctor about how oral would work and I can give him oral with no barriers and it should be fine which worked out pretty well cus he loves oral and I can turn him on really easily :) 

We use condoms every time and I am taking Valtrex everyday which hopefully will help keep the spreading to none. The condom has slipped off a couple times tho which made me kind of nervous but he’s always very nice about it and will always alleviate my worries. 

I just want everyone to know that you can have a healthy sexual life after being diagnosed with herpes, even if your partner doesn’t have it. It can be very nerve wracking at first and maybe less enjoyable because you’re so focused on it, but I promise that it does get better.

Oral question

He just asked me if I like receiving of giving. I haven't told him I have genital herpes yet. I don't know what to do :/ If I have genital herpes (never any signs of oral) can I give him head and it'll be ok?

I was diagnosed in May

I still don’t know if I’ve completely accepted it yet but I’m getting there. I think the part I hate the most is that I’ll have to tell future partners.

I don’t like how it was from a one time thing either. Like sometimes I’ll find myself thinking if I hadn’t met up with him that night it wouldn’t have happened but that thinking is toxic.

I’m just trying to find my way with having herpes and praying i don’t get another outbreak.
