I am really happy, but honestly kind of embarrassed

The hospital I go to throws a prom for kids that couldn’t go, and even though I’m not a kid anymore a doctor I know give me a special invite and it means the world to me, but it’s kind of silly to be my age and excited for something like that

I’m gonna go shopping with my sister soon yay

I try not to think about it too much, but if this new doctor is right, and I truly don’t have Tourette’s…

I spent years switching between so many different medicines that completely ruined my mental health for nothing 

I experienced horrible hallucinations and intense dissociations for nothing…

I had a conversation with a lawyer for my disability hearing and goddamn that man sucked

“So you’re constantly shaking?” it’s more complicated than that but basically 

“do you have ticks in your left ear haha” actually yeah, now that you put that in my mind. My hand is punching myself in the  ear so thank you. 

“do you often fall? Like completely to the ground” bitch this isn’t a fucking soap opera it’s more complicated than just falling or not falling

“So it doesn’t seem like you have any social problems”  I’m so fucking autistic and literally struggling to speak.

“Some say  you could definitely have a job” what fucking job would hire someone that basically can’t read needs constant breaks and can’t be around lots of loud noises 😭

God, I wish people would understand Tourette’s even slightly, my entire financial future is relying on bitches that think shaking is a good enough description for what actually is happening

I feel like they basically want me to go and try and get a job just so I can get fired or rejected Hella times bc who the fuck would hire me 😭 being around me for over a minute already shows how bad my condition is

I hate how painful my new tic is, I’ve always been terrified of neck tics and now I’m constantly squeezing the muscles and stretching my neck to the side😭 it’s awful! I was doing it so much last night. It even affected my dreams!!!

I honestly hate having such loud vocal tics, I hope I’m not disturbing any of my neighbors😭😭😭

I could never live in apartment because I would be a total nuisance

I hate when my tics causes my mouth not to move, like now I can’t write anything because I use voice to text

The tourettic community is not talking about that when we talk about ableism.

THIS is what the tourettes community has been handling the last few days:

Widespread harassment of a disabled man, the disabled community he's a part of, and blatant falsehoods spread about said disability.

THIS is why the tourettes community is upset about ableism. THIS is what has so profoundly negatively affected us.

My new therapist said everyone’s a little autistic when I told her about my autism so I don’t think I’ll be going back…

I can’t believe what happened today

Today I went to a new movement specialist because the majority of my life now I was told I had Tourette’s 

But there’s a strong possibility I actually have something else

It’s a very similar  movement disorder called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

And basically a lot of things that I’ve been doing to try and manage my Tourette’s have actually been pretty much useless 

So… yea… I think things are gonna change a lot for me

Sometimes my mental disabilities are more frustrating than my physical one

Like how can I have a conversation with someone and not remember anything😭 I was talking to a fucking lawyer too

It’s like every time I take one I just imagine biting into money

I really don’t understand when people say “it’s all in your head” where the fuck else would it be, and what about that sentence is going to help at all 😭

Like it’s probably one of the most insulting things someone can say, it’s ignorant, and incredibly stupid yet they think it’s so brilliant and explaining anything is just gonna make them say it again

Yea it’s in my head, everything is in my head, that’s where my brain is, my brain doesn’t function correctly 😭

It’s so annoying to have someone think they know how my condition works and at the same time say it’s all in your head

Omg I’m so upset, these last couple of days I’ve been waking up with my body slamming itself down into my pillow, repeatedly 😵‍💫

It’s like the worlds worst alarm clock
