LIFE DRAWING
One of the last life drawing session before lockdown, experimenting with crushed charcoal and erasing areas to create different shades and tone.
LIFE DRAWINGS
Developing in my own style, I really enjoy the contrasting tones you get when working with ink. Inspired by the likes of Egon schiele.
LIFE DRAWING
Some full body drawings and close up of areas I favour the most. I think the last drawing is the best, the detail from the belly button up shows the model beautifully.
LIFE DRAWING
Skeleton development, this was rather tricky for me, I found I difficult to create a three dimensional shape with the Skelton structure. However with time I think slight improvements were made.
LIFE DRAWING
Perspective, as the life model walked back and forth the room we had to draw it alternative positions. I really like the use of black and white, adding depth and movement to the piece.
LIFE DRAWING
Free flowing! These are some of my favourite drawings, in this lecture we were demonstrating a more free technique, allowing the pencil to guide the drawing.
LIFE DRAWINGS
A clothed study, beginning to interpret in my own style. More expressive.
LIFE DRAWINGS
Life drawing was something I loved in GCSE, however since beginning at FAD I lacked interest and confidence with drawing. I felt as if I couldn’t do it, being surrounded by talented artists it’s easy to compare, although I kept drawing and I slowly saw development...

PAINTINGS
Here are some unfinished paintings, a medium I don’t usually work with however research into Vorticism lead me to this experimentation. Working from my slide pieces I decided to paint in the same style.

video clips from my time in New York, looking into the use of more contemporary mediums.
inspired by director Sam Mendes and his film ‘American beauty’
Lantern Slides.
Here I gathered some of my New York photographs as references for my slide illustrations. Using black ink to sketch an outline onto glass before finish with gum strip around the edges to create a finished look.
Ink Drawings of New York city!
I really enjoy working in this medium, it creates a free flowing movement when you draw. I like how you can build up the ink to create darker areas, adding depth to the piece. I intend to work on another drawing using water colours or other mixed medias.
