so i know there are lots of different opinions about what kit's skills as a shadowhunter would be. whether he's well trained or if he's ever bothered to learn.

personally (and it doesn't really matter because i know i will absolutely love whatever cassie has done), i would love to see him starting at a point where you can feel he still has a lot to learn (because i need him to be a total badass moving forward -which he already is, but ykwim-), but i also need y'all to remember jem is raising him.

i need /need/ jem to train him, even if it's just to be able to defend himself, to spend time together or because the shadowhunter blood is calling them both, even if jem is no longer an active shadowhunter. i think it would be really cool to see each of them connecting with that part of themselves and with each other

It's kinda weird how we have six books (probably more now) of (most) the demon blood havers (Downworlders) being chill but in-universe we have everyone going "Sebastian was always a monster because he had demon blood"

This is so important but I feel like it can be explained from a psychological perspective. I do agree that the the demon blood itself cannot make him ‘evil’, specially bc other beings have it and are not ‘evil’ too… it’s definitely a plot hole. But Sebastian is a product of his environment, Valentine was not raising a shadowhunter with demon blood but a sociopath/psychopath
