with their initial meeting in mind, yoorim thinks that it’s somewhat peculiar how comfortable the two of them are in each other’s company, that they have managed to form a good and casual friendship in such a short time span. considering their chemistry whilst dancing, one could argue that maybe there is something there, something behind the scenes, though there really isn’t—it’s cliché to say that she now views felix as a brother, she knows, but that’s precisely what she does.
from the very beginning, both of them friend zoned the other, and that’s perfectly alright. despite her mother nagging in the background, yoorim is quite satisfied with the outcome of their parent’s set up this time around—she has tried to explain the situation many times, yet her mother believes that there is a chance for a change of heart. silly, but understandable. of course, yoorim knows that her parents only want the best for her, they want her to find a decent man that fits her.
and, well, their family. felix is handsome, there is no denying that—still, no. there is no way and yoorim hopes that one day, her mother will stop throwing the ball at her. yoorim suddenly notices that all the thoughts regarding her parents and their many failed attempts to set her up on a successful date are clouding her mind, they are taking over and breaking her focus. so, they are pushed away with little to no effort, so that she can be a teenager and have fun with felix, dance with him.
as the song comes to an end, yoorim thinks that the routine feels too short. it’s a common length for a choreography like this, still she wishes that they were going to keep moving for a little longer. she nods in agreement when he suggests that they are ready, butterflies now popping up inside her tummy as she feels excited to record this—yoorim knows, yoorim is certain that this is what she wants to do with her life. she wants to perform; she wants to dance until the day she dies.
“yeah! i agree, five sounds good.” and instantly, she reaches for her bottle of water in a weak attempt to cool down in this heat. she almost chokes when she tries to answer at the same time, ending up with a set of coughs to collect herself again. “oh gOD! i swallowed wrong!” cheeks are now burning red and she explains whilst hitting her chest, still coughing. “anyway, yes! that sounds like a good idea.”
it’s rare to find someone that syncs well with the way he dances. it’s hard to find someone who syncs with felix in general, then again he hasn’t exactly been looking all that far either. he’s glad he met yoorim, happy that they’ve grown comfortable enough with one another that their dance exudes the chemistry that everyone wishes could be more than it actually is. he thinks they’d be a good duo, and hopefully with this video other people will say the same.
he moves over towards the camera in its box and the rest of his equipment, setting up the tripod. felix places the camera on it, adjusting it and the tripod so it could perfectly capture the both of them. he’s humming the song they’ll be dancing to as he does, a smile on his face as the excitement bubbled within him yet again. he can’t wait to have this video out to the world. as much as he loves that his platform is growing, he also wants to use it to promote his friends.
yoorim is talented, that much is clear. she dances good, and although he’s not any one of the great and powerful agencies, he hopes he’d be able to let his audience know about yoorim. she deserves to get as much recognition as possible, after all. it’s the least he could do.
he nearly drops his camera when he hears coughing from behind him, but he manages to catch it. he turns to yoorim, alarmed and worried. “oh my god, are you okay?” placing the camera back on the tripod, he gently pats yoorim’s back, eyes laced with concern. “don’t drink too fast, you could choke!” he warns, before letting out a sigh of relief since yoorim seems to be fine.
“what’ll we do if you suddenly choke and we have to postpone this to another day?” his tone is teasing as he walks back to the camera, clicking on a few things before he nods to himself. he checks the time. a little more than five minutes have passed. “if you’re okay now, i’m gonna click record, okay?”
