The Witpoortjie Falls is one of the most iconic landmarks in Gauteng, Krugersdorp, Sunday, January 27, 2019. The waterfall is part and parcel of the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens and has been used for recreation purposes since the 1800s.

Dust settles on the widest manmade opencast copper mine in the world, Phalaborwa, Friday, August 31, 2018. At almost 2km wide and 450 meters deep, opencast mining operations at this mine ceased in 2002; it has now been replaced by an expansive underground operation.

Flowers in bloom outside the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress, Washington D.C. The Library of Congress is housed in three buildings of which the Jefferson building is the oldest. It was built between 1890 and 1897.
