Strolling through Home Depot today and we decided to look at plants for Justin’s office. I turned a corner and gasped. There was this FREAKING MONSTERA DELICIOSA all by itself. And looking kinda rough. I clutched my chest and almost cried. 😂 I have only dreamed of having one of these beauties. Justin agreed that we had to get her because she was clearly left there for me. She is now home, and I have rigged up her own personal humidifier. 😂 This princess gets whatever she wants. Evening, friends. I find myself struggling these days to manage, or more accurately, identify and acknowledge my emotions. The weight of the world seems to be pressing me into the earth at times, and I can barely breathe. Teaching in a pandemic for over a year has taken quite a toll, and the happiness of buying a home has been clouded in disaster. I see society tearing at the seams and people posing and smiling as if all is well. Social media is overflowing with hope and hatred. Arguments about what’s real and not. Hypersensitivity and complete apathy. I’m choosing to step away for a time. I think it would be best for my mental health. Be well, friends.
