Ever wanted to get into the Corpse Party series but was completely confused by the number of games, the anime, or anything in between? Well, with this handy and updated Corpse Party Masterlist *valid as of 6/16/14, youâll be diving into the Corpse Party series faster than you can say âHeavenly Hostâ!
Corpse Party is a survival adventure horror game series for various platforms. It revolves around a group of students and their teacher from Kisaragi Academy. They preform a charm called the âSachiko Ever Afterâ charm to cheer up one of their friends who happens to be transferring schools; but the charm goes wrong, and they end up trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary School, a strange place where murders take place often and corpses line the halls. The students are split up and left to find for themselves with no weapons, and no way out. Its up to the students to find a way out of the school, or die trying.
The series is developed by Team GrisGris, the series is licensed in North America and Europe by XSEED.

CORPSE PARTYâS HISTORY:
On December 17th, 1992, a Japanese group called ASCII released a program titled RPG Tkool Dante 98 for the Japanese exclusive home system known as NEC PC-9801 which allowed people to develop their own role-playing games. They further promoted their tool by publishing a monthly magazine titled LOGIN Sofcom where amateur developers could submit their creations. On April 22nd, 1996, an adventure game called CORPSE-PARTY was published in the Spring 1996 edition of LOGIN Sofcom No.6. It was made by a 22-year-old college student by the name of Makoto Kedouin. On February 26th, 1997, Kedouin won second place in the Second Annual ASCII ENTERTAINMENT competition, netting him 5 million yen [$61,675.00 USD].

*Additional Note: This game came out 2011, long after CORPSE-PARTY was released. However, since this fangame is the closest to what English speakers can get to CORPSE-PARTY, it is recommended to play in place of CORPSE-PARTY.

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows [For PSP and PS Vita. Buy on PSN here.] [A âsequelâ to âŠRF, although the game is more full of âWhat ifâ possibilities and backstories. The most important chapter to it is the last chapter, which can be unlocked by having an âŠRF save on your PSP or Vita or getting all wrong ends. This chapter leads us to Corpse Party: BloodDrive.]
Corpse Party -THE ANTHOLOGY- Sachikoâs Game of Love â„ Hysteric Birthday 2U [For PSP. Japanese only, since XSEEDÂ will not translate this, HOWEVER the fangroup memoriesoffear is working on translating it themselves.]Â [A romantic comedy spin-off of Corpse Party. Sachiko Shinozaki, a murderer child in Heavenly Host, has her birthday party involving everyone trapped inside HH. Not meant to really be taken seriously, but its great and introduces new characters and brings back the old. You can find Letâs Plays of it on youtube, some subbed, some not.]
Corpse Party: BloodDrive [For PS Vita, Japanese only, but XSEED is looking to release in English.] [The final arc of the Kisaragi Kids saga. The last chapter from BoS is the prologue to this game, and it takes place after the True End 1 from âŠRF. Includes new characters and black magic.]
Corpse Party 2: DEAD PATIENT [For PC. Japanese only, although XSEED wants to release this game in English and the fangroup memoriesoffear has translated it but canât release the translation due to bugs. As of 2/15/14, only one chapter is released. See how to buy it via this blog post.] [This is a game that takes place 5 years after Corpse Party. It focuses on a new cast of characters, although two characters from Kisaragi do appear in game. Only one chapter of it released, but Team GrisGris plans on making a remake to fix glitches.]

WANT TO WATCH SOMEONE PLAY IT INSTEAD?
When playing Corpse Party, it is EXTREMELY important to play with headphones on with no one talking in the background to receive the best experience possible. This is why watching people like Cry, Yuriofwind, Pewdiepie, or anyone else talking during the gameplay would not be wise for your first experience, since youâre missing out on a lot of good things (the voice acting and SFX are really amazing).

2U has commentary, but since it IS the only 2U playthrough with some translation (translation made by the guy playing), Iâd recommend it- X.
