@greeksophiepjo and I were talking (as we do) and concluded that hoo should have included a point at which an argument broke out among the Argo II over the fact that Annabeth was appointed leader without anyone else getting a say (of course she’s smart and a great leader but still someone should have questioned it)

It started with Leo not thinking before he speaks and blurting out “if Annabeth has the least powers of anyone here, why is she the leader?” (pretend Percy isn’t here or he would have bitch slapped Leo across the room). Everyone just kinda stares at him, but Jason (being the annoying roman he is) started discussing why, from a strategic standpoint, Leo had a point. “A leader should be the strongest member of the team. Without any godly abilities, Annabeth is one the weakest on board. It just doesn’t make sense.”

The discussion continues and everyone else agrees that Annabeth’s intelligence and experience does, in fact, make her the best choice for leader, but the discussion left her feeling a little self conscious of the fact that she’s the only one on board with no special powers. Annabeth has always trusted in herself and her abilities, but it still feels discouraging sometimes that no matter how hard she works she knows she’ll never be able to do what the others can.

Annabeth’s in the library studying with a group of girls from her class and Percy is taking a short cut through the library when he sees her and he’s like well it’s my girlfriend—can’t just walk past— so he goes up behind her and like taps her head so she’ll look up and he just kisses her and it’s so cute 🥺😪
