Regardless of religious spin, cannabis is illegal in the state of Ohio for recreational use. There is a law on the books as of the middle of last year that provides for some limited (mostly still hypothetical at this point, but that’s another issue) access to marijuana for medical purposes, but any other possession or use is a violation of current statute.

Second, I fail to see what you were hoping to achieve with this response. If there’s ever been an instance in which this kind of disparaging, condescendingly phrased ‘knowledge dropping' has ever managed to actually change anybody’s mind on any topic, then I’d be extremely surprised. Especially when it’s combined with flat-out insults. All you’ve managed to do, I’m sure, is inflame the situation and ensure that the person you’re speaking to isn’t going to take you seriously.

This isn’t the kind of thing I would have expected from someone my brother is so apparently close to, but from that angle it’s particularly concerning. I wouldn’t like this no matter who you were, but as a friend of his - his “best” friend, according to him - frankly, it’s completely unacceptable. Emmett doesn’t need to be around people who are cool with getting high, and he definitely doesn’t need to be around anyone who’s breaking the law.

At any rate, I’m afraid I didn’t see this until it was too late to let you know the specifics, however we’re planning another hike for this coming Saturday. It won’t be as strenuous as the one we did a few days ago, since we have some inexperienced hikers coming too. You’re more than welcome to come.
