The mother’s death scene in The Land Before Time. I’m glad it’s not as popular as it was when I was younger, because it’s so hard not to cry in front of my babysitting charges when we watch it. 

Also onions. I feel like I’m inexplicably worse at avoiding onion tears than other people are.

Okay, but onions are THE worst. Why don’t people talk about this more? I literally take my safety into my own hands anytime I cut them because after about five seconds I can’t see literally anything my eyes swell up so bad.

Katie: The Proposal, 27 dresses, Notting Hill, The Holiday, Made of Honor, Isn't it romantic, Just go with it, Bad teacher, Dear John, Maid in Manhatten, 10 things I hate about you, Clueless, How to lose a guy in 10 dates

Katie: that should keep you occupied for a couple of days

LJ: I am not big on The Proposal, I know everyone like LOOOOOOVES Ryan Reynolds and thinks he's the funniest man alive, but I don't. And if I'm going to watch a romcom with him in it. I looooooove 27 Dresses though 👗 Notting Hill is good but it hasn't aged as well as some older romances. Isn't It Romantic is great, but I think any movie with any Hemsworth is great. And is Bad Teacher really a romcom? 🤔 Oh man, it's been YEARS since I've watched Maid in Manhattan. I think young me thought the male lead wasn't cute enough for JLO, but then again is anyone cute enough for JLO? And the rest are all probably in my TOP 10 so yay.

Lev: Ah man, that's tough. I'm sorry 😔 I hope you get the holidays you deserve someday! I'm going with a friend to the Star Wars theme park! Its literally a dream lol.

Lev: Yep, that's the one! It's a little weird but very cute in my personal opinion. And I like some romcoms, I swear! I just don't watch non-sci-fi or fantasy movies very often and when I do, idk, I tend to choose ones that aren't downers? Romcoms almost always make me sad lol or I spend too much time thinking about how unrealistic it is.

LJ: I assume after college I'll be able to have them! When she doesn't have a place to automatically track me down. Or if I find a boyfriend to go home with, she'll slut shame me about going to see his family but she'll be happy enough I'm not single not to push it. Disney World at Christmas sounds so romantic! Maybe not the Star Wars part of it, although that is very you. I guess it could be okay if you just pretended to be Leia tho.

LJ: A little weird is good! The Big Sick is one of my favorites and it's definitely more than a little nontraditional. Uh, there are plenty of fantasy romcoms! The Princess Bride? Stardust? I'm not as up on sci-fi as a drama but I'm sure it has some romances too!

So we’re past the start of December, and I can now officially ask, without all the Scrooges and Grinches throwing hate my way, who’s as Klucking excited about Christmas as I am?

I’m excited about Christmas season. I love all the romantic Christmas activities, like ice skating, sipping cocoa by the fire, and wrapping presents. Less excited about Christmas Day itself as my mother is definitely a “Bah Humbug” kind of person and she’ll probably get me something ridiculously two-faced. Like last year she got me this expensive concealer and I spent the whole day wondering what she thought I needed it for. Eye bags? Wrinkles? Acne? It’s really not a fun guessing game.

LJ: Not just an ice cream place, they make the best pints known to mankind. Except Cherry Garcia, that can go to hell.

LJ: I mean I'm sure some of those baked goods are French but the only thing I'm like sure on are crepes and eclairs. I'm always down to go sweets tasting tho.

LJ: Why? That's my favorite deep dives! And 27 Dresses is one of my all time favorites. James Marsden is just 🥰.

LJ: And tbh I don't really count Bridesmaids as a romcom. I mean yeah she has the thing with the cop but overall it's just another boy humor dick joke Judd Apatow movie slapped onto female characters.

TRUTH: who are some couples you thought would be together by now for sure?

Is there anyone who didn’t think @hcrryhookcd and Uma would be public by now? I mean, I still maintain that they must be together on the down low but they’re just so obviously in love. I’m surprised @eveningstardubois hasn’t been snatched up by someone yet, maybe @crazyyoungmaurice or @theomedici. I’m surprised we haven’t heard about Jordan finally hooking up with Jay, or @faciliersfreddie licking Anthony Tremaine’s abs or something.

Then we’ve got everyone’s favorite will they won’t they @chadischarming and @princessaudrey. I don’t know if I really thought they’d get together but I never really though Chad would give up chasing her. Why is @brycxgothel still single? He’s a catch! And if you ask me, there’s a little something going on between @kiara-adebowale and @kovukiwa too. But out of all the lovebirds out there in Auradon, the thing that makes the least sense to me is how @noa-atua and @marykatehood still haven’t hooked up yet? I don’t know if he’s really boyfriend material, but you could cut their sexual tension with a knife.
