He killed a part of her. He destroyed and crushed a giant piece. Still she clings to hope. Hope that somewhere, buried deep and dark, in a place she doesn’t remember.
She hopes that piece sits.
Quietly, unwavering. Desperate to claw it’s way out.

For a night time stood still. For a night they didn't age. For night they told each other everything. For a night they talked about nothing. For a night there was no him or her. For a night it was just them.
I either eat too much or starve myself. Sleep for 14 hours or have insomniac nights. Fall in love very hard or hate passionately. I don’t know what grey is. I never did. -Unknown
With every blink, with every breath, she swallows down her tears. Tears without meaning. Tears of the unknown. All half beliefs. Half forgetting to take medication, half not waiting to leave his safe cocoon, half just ever present, as they have been for ever so long. Unknown tears and confusion half her life. Leaving the warm cradle of his fingers all her insecurity's flood back, all her 'what if's', all her 'butts'. His fingers and whispers complete her. She feels at home in his skin.

Books, for me, are a home. Books don’t make a home – they are one, in the sense that just as you do with a door, you open a book, and you go inside. Inside there is a different kind of time and a different kind of space. There is warmth there too – a hearth. I sit down with a book and I am warm. I know that from the chilly nights on the doorstep.

Emily Browning. Sleeping Beauty.
one of my favourite movies of all time.
"I opened the windows and saw the night and the cold stars and the pine trees below the window and then got into bed as fast as I could. It was lovely in bed with the air so cold and clear and the night outside the window."
Ernest Hemingway (via tellmefive)
enveloped in bed, golden folds cloak her. illuminated by a computer screen she hugs giant pillows and fluffy dogs and pours her thoughts out. disjointed. bits and pieces. puzzles that don't fit. memories mixed with imagined poetry. forever trying to make things more beautiful then they were.
work in progress...
seem to be writing a lot more poetry these days rather then the usual shorts... for more writing see forgetmenots (at www.llauraliy.tumblr.com)

two soft lines of blood red brail bearly there they sting and sing when she absentmindedly strokes them she wishes she could see their true patterns instead she maps them for now brail and memory will win

baracades
in her world she pushes and pulls she pulls wardrobes and chairs and tables and anything big enough to block a door.
she baracades herself in. she wishes she had the strength to do this in real life.
