we’re moving in 2 weeks, and I’m very very sad about it. I’m excited, too, about the prospect of something new, but mostly I’m just really sad. we’ve lived here for 7 years, and it’s the happiest home I’ve ever had. I love this house and the spirits that live here with us and the land and our neighbors and how open it is outside and the view of the mountains. we asked our ghost(s) if they’d like to come with us when we leave, but they said no. I don’t know if they physically /could/ come with us even if they wanted to.

we’re moving into a 300-ish square foot camper which will be a big adjustment (esp. with 5 indoor cats 😅) but I keep telling myself to pretend it’s like an NYC apartment except it’s in the woods deep in the mountains lol I hope this helps us survive better, fiscally. (that’s the whole reasoning behind the move, aside from, you know, our current house actively sinking and basically splitting apart.) it’s gonna cost us half of what we pay now, not counting utilities, so fingers crossed.

god I’m going to miss this house, though. I thought it could maybe be our forever home at one time, but maybe it was just our for-right-now or for-as-long-as-we-needed-it home instead. 💔
