Ancient wall-paintings at Erebuni Fortress in Armenia. The fortress is also known as Arin Berd meaning the fortress of blood.

Dye used in the frescos of Erebuni Fortress (8th c. BC) is copper paint obtained from an Armenian stone, which had been used in Mesopotamia since the 3rd millennium BC.
