The pet store I worked at had a pen with rabbits near the front door. On every side of the pen were huge signs saying “You can pet me, but don’t pick me up!” One day two absolutely huge guys came in and one immediately reaches into the pen to grab a rabbit. Before i could say anything his friend grabbed his arm and asked him “did you see the sign?” He said “yeah! it says that you can pick them up but don’t pet them!” Then he went quiet for a moment and softly said “I didn’t read it right did I?” And his friend just puts his arm on his shoulder and said “its ok, i know you’ve got that thing where words get mixed up. Let just pet these cute lil shits” And I still haven’t gotten over that interaction.

I was walking my dog through Boston bc he likes the likes car rides. He’s a little thing tbh we call him short and long. So this huge scary man with a full beard approaches me like “hey can my buddy and I pet your dog? He gets nervous around dogs but your’s is so small I think it’s a good place to start.” Ofc I was like “yes he’s very friendly!” So this guy brings his equally big friend over and they sit on the floor while this man looks terrified of my tiny dog so big man number one asks “can I pick him up?” And i say yes so he picks him up and puts him on man number two’s lap and man number two is abt to freak out and his friend straight up just goes “hey man, it’s okay just relax I’d never let anything hurt you. He’s a good boy.” I’ll never forget it ever bc I know that man looked at me (5'3 , glasses, probably wearing a sweater vest) and my dog (kinda goofy looking little thing) and was like ‘ah yes the two least intimidating living things I’ve seen in Boston all day he’ll feel relaxed around them’ and went out of his way to help his friend. It makes me so happy

It was the “gay” season, charting the blossoming relationship of Isak Valtersen and Even Bech Næsheim, both coming to terms with their sexuality amidst a cutting background of teenage angst. Taking every fan poll I’ve ever come across into account, season three was by far Skam’s most popular. It broke streaming records in Norway, and television viewership records in neighboring Denmark and Sweden. Throughout its 10-episode run, it hardly left the list of worldwide trending topics on any given social platform.

“Larries” by an ex-Larrie

I’m not really a larrie anymore, so I felt like I wanted to say a few things about them from a kinda outsider perspective. To spesify: I felt like the One Direction fandom got too messy after Zayn left, and I needed to get away. I still think Harry and Louis would make a cute couple but I’ve pretty much lost hope. Don’t try to convince me, I know all the evidence but it’s just been too long and I’m tired of it. I’ve found new simpler fandoms. I’ve seen so many ex larries being really negative about them, and this post is me I wanting to fix that. I spent almost four years in the deepest pits of larrie hell, I read every theory and thought it over, I had a tumblr and twitter for it and checked news more than once a day so I think I’m qualified enough to talk about this phenomenon. Larries can be delusional, disrespectful, shortsighted and petty. They can use irrelevant stereotypes to prove their point, and create tinhat theories that make no sense. But you know what? They are also the smartest and kindest people of the One Direction fandom if you look deep enough. They work together, raise money for charities and promote the boys songs when they don’t do it thenselves. The boys birthday charities? Organized by larries. Project No Control? Organized by larries. And so on. Larries are different from most popular shippers, because Harry and Louis are real people. But you know who started Larry? Harry and Louis. They didn’t hate it from the beginning, they encouraged us. Larry only blew over AFTER they turned against it, because it didn’t make sense. Im not here to prove or disprove Larry though so I won’t continue, but what I’m trying to say is that they weren’t born from hate but love. Larries are warriors, not really shippers, because their point isn’t to have their ship canon but in their opinion to help Harry and Louis, and other closeted celebrities as well. Of course they get personal enjoyment from it too, but that’s what fandom is about. I don’t know if the cause they’re fighting for is real or not, but my point is that they’re trying to do the right thing, and they genuenly want the boys to be happy. I know there are antis whose meaning of life is to hate on larry and larries, and I don’t have any delusions about changing their minds but maybe there are some who hate just because they don’t understand, and this post is meant for them. Larries notice things others ignore, they try to understand events and timelines that make no sense. They’re deeply dedicated to the boys, and I think that’s beautiful. Maybe this is also a post for larries, because I want to thank you. I had fun. I learned a lot about the media and showbusiness. I learned a lot about equal rights. I learned a lot about my own sexuality and myself in general. I wrote my first long story here, and now I’m writing an actual book that I hope to publish one day. Thank you. Keep fighting for what you believe, that’s how we change the world.
