Vogue Magazine have published online an interview with Anthony Turner, the hairstylist who cut Harryâs hair as part of the Another Man Issue 23 shoot. Here are some excerpts.
âThe way Turner tells it, when Styles first parted ways with his hair in April of this year, it was quite a shock. âHis jaw dropped to the floor,â says Turner of the moment he lopped off Stylesâs lengthy ponytail.âÂ
âPreparing for a role in the forthcoming World War II drama Dunkirk, Styles knew heâd have to lop off a significant amount of hair, so when he arrived in his home town for a photo shoot, he was game to loose length. Though it didnât stop the actual cut from being a dramatic moment - as well as a family affairâŚ.Stylesâs mother was quietly cheering on the transformation from a distance. She was like, âIs that all youâre going to do?â Turner remembers with a laugh. âShe wanted him to be neatened up.ââ
âOnce the initial shock had worn off, Styles âreally got into itâ ââŚhe was very articulate and he knew what we were trying to achieveâ âŚ.with Styles input Turner even tailored the length of his â60s-ish mop to make it more authentic.â

âLuckily,â Turner says, âHarry is a very handsome boy, so he can carry it.â
