Fucking hell, man! Don't say that! She's only turning five in a few days, the fifteenth, and oh fuck don't fucking tell me that. Don't say that. NO! Im already dreading the day I have to beat off the guys or girls, whoever she ends up liking off with sticks if they break her heart. I'm not okay with this.
you still have time, mate! enjoy it while it lasts! i wish i could lie and tell you otherwise, let you live in ignorant bliss about it, but it's better to know it's coming way before it hits you. it gives you time to practice those witty comebacks, it's a dad staple.
i've been enjoying these one-off performances quite a bit, but i'm looking forward to settling into sweeney todd next month and staying based in one based for the first time in awhile. there's something really special about getting the time to really delve into one character and invest in them, discovering new things as you go. has there ever been a character or any kind of project that's felt that way for you? @limelightblvdstarters
oh, you know i always love compliments coming from the phantom himself. if erik was real and you were behind the mask, just know, i would've chosen him in a heartbeat. i really appreciate you taking the time to see me in that. means the world coming from a pro. you have no idea. i have your playbills stacked so high, i think i may be the bigger fan here. ah, yeah... i think about returning sometimes. stage fright is usually the only thing that holds me back. i'd love to work alongside you though. theater or film. just a matter of you naming the time and place, really.
gosh, now i'm the one in danger of stage fright. am i blushing? that means a lot, especially coming from someone as brilliant as yourself. thank you. i've always admired you and your work tremendously, so... just know, if you ever do return to the stage, it would be a gift to everyone sharing the space with you, audience and cast alike, truly. well, i'm home in london for the foreseeable future, but maybe we could meet up sometime and discuss, if you're available? on me, please.
i I hope you donβt mind me saying so, but Iβm a huge fan of your work, both on screen and on stage. i saw you in a dollβs house some time back and was just absolutely blown away, it was a beautiful performance. you were amazing. are, sorry. do you think youβll ever return to the stage again? @lljchas
Man, being on the road is so much fun but I do miss being home. I enjoy being able to just sit on my couch and going to the gym when I want. When I'm on the road I have to find a planet fitness somewhere near the town i'm playing in and let me just say most of this tour I have done nothing but do Running and push ups because I can't find a planet fitness.
@limelightblvdstarters
i relate to this far too much. it's more than just needing the equipment, too: it's the gym regulars you nod to everytime you go in, and then suddenly you're on the road, they're missing you, wondering where you went and it becomes a whole thing... i hope you're having a good time out there. where are you headed next?
I just said 'brilliant' to someone telling me inconvenient news, which is apparently my bodyβs chosen response to emotional distress. βYour table wonβt be ready for another forty minutes.β Brilliant. βWeβve run out of the thing you ordered.β Brilliant. βThe train is delayed indefinitely.β Absolutely brilliant, thank you, what a gift. Is this a universal thing, or have I simply been British for too long and lost the ability to respond honestly? ( @limelightblvdstarters )
no, that's just having class, mate! but also... it's very possible you've just been british too long, because the same thing happened to me. i didn't leave canada until i was 23, but speaking from personal experience, it only takes a couple of years for that british spirit to get into you and then it never quite shakes off after that. something in the water, i think. but hey, there are definitely worse alternatives!
I had an interesting time picking up my daughter, Nora, the other day from school. She comes bounding out of the school all excited. Only to bring a friend and go "Look, I told you my dad's bald.." I choose to shave my head anyway. What's the craziest thing a small human, yours or others, has said to you? @limelightblvdstarters
oh, the joys of fatherhood! all i can tell you is that it does not get any better when they're older. both of my boys are in their twenties now; so maybe instead of boys, i should say young men. if your kids are anything like mine, then i can promise you they'll still say things like this when you're older, and they'll say it with their chest.
