I'm soooo late to the mid offs hype but I'm watching Jumper's win and the differences between her and Couriway's videos are hilarious. On hers she's like "I trained for 1000 years like a shounen protagonist, Couriway is my sensei and his wisdom is unmatched" and then I watch Couri's pov and he's like "I have never made worse calls in my life, I was lying to Jumper constantly, I need to be put down like a sick dog"

sometimes i feel like i don't have enough personal experience/knowledge to formulate an opinion on smth, but. can we not call mcyt with lots of minecraft partners "whores"?

the best part of the dsmp separating cs and ccs was we could criticize the actions of characters without having it reflect on the content creators, creating a unique type of genre defining minecraft roleplay community. the worst part of the dsmp separating cs and ccs was we couldn't criticize the writing of the characters through the lens of their content creators, because of the previously established rules, creating a unique type of genre specific media illiteracy

nobody was doing it like the dsmp man. if i talked about the clear child abuse and grooming themes within discduo's storyline I'd get confused people asking if dreamwastaken did that in real life, and all posts discussing heavier topics required c! or cc! distinctions in front of them. we had to separate them to stop people from saying we're calling the real people victims or abusers. if i talked about the failure of c!techno as a proper anarchist character probably stemming from cc!techno's misinterpretation of the belief system id get death threats. you gotta separate the characters from the creators man! they're seperate entities entirely that could never influence each other!!! like entirely genre specific type of thinking that I've never encountered before it's amazing. and i can see it spread to other indie story projects online. you can never imply that the author is bad for something the character did, obviously, but you can of course never say that the character did something because the author might've made them. it's so strange Literally NOBODY DOES IT LIKE THE DSMP
