Iām Alex! Iām a 21 year old disabled woman. My boyfriend and caretaker, Kleyton, is 22. We are both Latino, with Kleyton being a Guatemalan immigrant. We recently fled domestic violence and have wound up homeless living in a motel. I canāt work due to my disability. I have severe endometriosis and adenomyosis. I also have depression (as does Kleyton) and PTSD. Kleyton was out of work for a long time due to the virus which wiped any money we had, but he recently started working again. We havenāt seen a paycheck from that yet, as heās paid biweekly. He works very hard to take care of me.
With my illnesses, I have a ton of medical costs. My medications alone are just astronomical. Weāre also scrambling to save for the surgery I need (a laparoscopy for my endo, my 5th), and will hopefully get once the virus is āunder controlā and the system begins working normally again. Until then, I am unspeakably miserable. We desperately need help paying for my medical costs.
We also desperately need help paying for our motel room. We have nowhere else to go, no family or friends to stay with. We are on our own. Living in the motel has sent our depression into overdrive. We are trying to save to move out, but itās hard. We need help. Please help us if you can.
