The scanner cut them off a tiny bit at the top (my first time using the scanner at work, I probably didn't fit them into the A4 slot properly) but they should still be fine to use!
If you intend to use this for your own Rocky plush (which I sincerely hope someone does! It was a very VERY rewarding process for me), some information that you MUST READ FIRST BELOW THE PATTERN -- click "READ MORE" ‼️
- This is NOT a professional/tested/proofread pattern! These are simply all the pieces that I used for my Rocky, which were made up entirely as I went, retraced out for clarity. Some of the pieces may be confusing to put together, as there is minimal instruction throughout. - My plush was almost entirely handsewn but the majority of it you can absolutely machine sew. I do recommend however handsewing for some of the small pieces on the legs and such, as a lot of them have very awkward curves and corners. I also recommend handsewing for things like the channels on his vent cap if you're using stuffing (as I did) rather than batting, so that you can get them as plush as needed.
- ⭐ All of the pieces shown were drafted from Rocky's EXTERIOR -- this means that if you are using a one-sided fabric, like a print or minky, you will need to REVERSE EVERY PIECE when cutting from the backside of the fabric (ie., flip your pieces over to mark them on the wrong side of the fabric).
- Each leg consists of a top and bottom, that are to be sewn, stuffed, sealed, and stitched together, before being attached to the body. I recommend embroidery floss for strength from the center of the attachment point (think of it like the "glue" to hold it on), and then a perimeter of stitching to neaten the attachment.
- If a piece says "x2", this means you cut it once, FLIP IT, and cut another, so that you have two mirrored pieces.
- Some of these pieces are not perfectly exact shapes. They're a lot of "close enough"s and fudging things to get them to fit together while sewing. I highly recommend having lots of reference material of Rocky to hand while working on this (look for the detailed reference sheet provided by James Ortiz!) and recommend being comfortable with adapting on the fly with your sewing. Thankfully, Rocky is a lumpy little dude, so exactness isn't a killer here. Embrace the imperfection.
- I used a two-way stretch minky fabric for my Rocky, with the stretch going horizontal on all pieces (leg width-wise rather than height-wise).
- I recommend a weighted Rocky highly! In my experience, it was just about as expensive to buy a bag of weighted beads as it was to just buy a weighted plush off the shelf, so I did the latter (which ended up being the wise choice, as it gave me extra fabric to work with). I made my Rocky 1.5kg -- 50g in the lower portion of each leg, 1.25kg in the main body. Make a small fabric pouch to hold each portion of beads before stuffing into the relevant limb.
- For the vent cap, I strongly recommend incorporating a piece of non-stretch fabric for structure (I used interfacing). Cut two cap shapes - one interfacing, one outside fabric - and sew the pieces on top of one another along the channel markings. Stuff each pocket with fluff as you go (you can further define with embroidery later).
- Please note on the guidance sheet the carapace faces vs. leg numbering! Yes, it's stupid how I did it, but it worked for me since I was only doing it for myself and didn't consider anyone else in the process lol. Just do the body first and focus on the legs after.
- You may not use this pattern to produce plushes to sell. Personal/gifted use only.
As I said, this is not a professional nor beginner-friendly pattern, nor are there many instructions. This is one guy's completely by-the-seat-of-his-pants effort. That said, if you do use these and found them helpful in any way, feel free maybe to drop me a Ko-Fi or something? 🥺👉👈

Edit: KNEW I'D LEAVE OUT SOMETHING. on LEG 5 TOP, the bottom face is supposed to be a pentagon. Just make a symmetrical pentagon using the side lengths of the bottom of each piece and you'll be good.
On LEG 2 TOP, use a similar pentagonal piece to the one shown on top to fill the gap/arch on the bottom pieces. I believe in you 👍
