pacifanxiety.
“O-oh! I hope that Mr. Aishi’s okay with that..”
Naoko smiled, a bit worried.
Ayano’s father was never slightly by Naoko herself since said man was always at work. But on occasions, he does show up at the park or playground to keep an eye watch on Ayano and Naoko whenever they played together, but that’s about it. But, the only she could remember about him was the always anxious glance on Ayano, somewhat yet protective?
She wanted ask, but she doesn’t wanted to bother him since he always stress-tired from all the work that he given by.
“I’m okay! My brother has been finding a job recently, my mother’s has recovering a bit from depression… and my father…”
Her voice quietened down at her mention of her father. She doesn’t want to mention it again, she really doesn’t mention it again! She really doesn’t remember what happened at the airport!
Naoko’s head hung down to avoid the the tip of her lips curled down into an upsetting frown.
“A-actually.. I really don’t want to talk about my father..”
“Again..”
[ in this moment, it seems all eyes are on her; ryoba listens attentively, patiently waiting for naoko to either finish what she was saying or change her mind. she’s not at all disappointed or upset she opted against it. ]
“that’s okay,” she adds, voice softer than before; [ she’s willing to take that as an answer without necessitating much thought, and she really doesn’t mind; she’s only really curious what he did. she attempts to soothe her with a gentle smile, placing her hand on her shoulder delicately. ]
“you really don’t have to, okay, naoko? tell me on your own time... if you ever want to, I mean. I wouldn’t mind, you know.”
[ she slides her thumb back and forth before allowing her hand to slide off, but her smile still remains. ]
“I’m glad everything’s okay otherwise, naoko.”
