hi, we're Oakley (not my real name, i made this post; it/its, ze/hir), Dave (stxr/stxrs/stxrself; think star noun neos but with an x instead of an a), and Matty (any pronouns but she). all three of us are a specific kind of anthropomorphic cat (link goes into some specifics, but isn't entirely accurate) with its own "lore" of sorts. we're part of a large, endogenic plural collective (500+ headmates, some of whom may appear from time to time). we are [bodily] a werebeast, and as such, are physically not a human. don't refer to us as such.

we follow from @werebeastlybutchboy, which is our main. it's mostly reblogs and talking about our daily life, usually about werebeastly things, disability, queerness, and seals. feel free to send us any and all photos of leopard seals you find, we will adore you forever if you do

we're physically disabled bodily and use mobility aids; Oakley is physically disabled both in headspace and in all selfship scenarios. we have ASPD and NPD among others. (obligatory "if you believe in '[x]PD abuse', fuck off and stay as far away from us as physically possible" notice.)

we're proship/comship. we're also selfshippers. unless we're specifically told otherwise (i.e., through asks or messages), we will assume anyone who claims to be an anti is telling the truth and they'll be blocked.

if you call other people "freaks" or "degenerate" or anything similar in a derogatory form, we don't like you. we also don't like you if you use "get therapy" or "get help" in any way other than out of genuine concern for someone you personally know.

and we don't like you if you treat someone having potentially harmful thoughts or urges as committing actual crimes, nor do we want you anywhere near us (<= has frequent violent urges that we enjoy, even if we'd never act on them). yes, even if it's towards real people. yes, even if the person having the thoughts/urges likes them. yes, even if it's related to a paraphilia of ANY kind. yes, even those ones. so long as nobody is actually hurt, we don't care.

block us if you don't like us (and make sure to block our main, too). if you follow or interact with us, we reserve the right to block you if we feel uncomfortable--without explanation, if we so choose. this blog won't necessarily have a particular theme, but it'll probably be mostly whatever thoughts we're having in the moment + some selfship stuff sprinkled throughout.

we don't technically have a dni because we have serious concerns about whether or not they actually work (because in my experience, they don't). that being said: TERFs and transmeds/truscum suck, antis suck, exclus (including bi/pan lesbian/gay, nonbinary lesbian/gay, lesboy/turigirl exclus) suck, xenogenders are cool, neopronouns are cool, harmful thoughts and urges do not equate to real crimes, and if you disagree with any of these then we dislike you heavily, and if you say some weird shit then it's an instant block (we'll also probably block you if we find you regardless, just for our own peace of mind). mind your business and we'll mind ours.

yeah of course! we've always been pro-para (definitional note for the unaware/uninformed/misinformed: supportive of paraphiles/people with paraphilias; not supporting any harm from acting on nonconsensual paraphilias) and we've tried our best to reflect it--at least implicitly--on our blog(s). if i recall correctly, one of our first posts on here actually mentioned paraphiles who selfship to deal with their paraphilia. it was jumbled in with a bunch of other stuff, but it was there (and at the time, having just started our blog, we were vaguely scared of harassment from the wider selfshipping community because of it lol).

i think we've kind of drawn away from that since those first few posts, mostly just so we had more people to talk to and interact with without being scared of like... a callout post or whatever, and we kind of regret doing that since it meant repressing our own paraphilias for a long time (or, at the very least, refusing to address them as paraphilias instead of kinks/fetishes/things we "find interesting"). we're actually very glad you sent that ask since it pushed us to clarify our views and sorta just... put our foot down on the matter and all.

we do wish we'd mentioned/clarified a couple things in our original response, namely (A) not all paraphilias are harmful when acted upon (i mean plushophilia is the obvious one to point out), and (B) what i meant by "treatment" is not what most people seem to mean by "treatment"; that is, by "treatment", most people mean "make them no longer a paraphile", while i mean "make them feel safe and unashamed with their paraphilia and give them outlets to satisfy urges without hurting people" but. yknow.

so long as no real people are getting hurt, we could not give less of a shit. we try to keep our morals consistent across the board, and that includes this.

we ourselves are paraphilic and have multiple of the big 3 (not gonna say which ones lol) among others (plushophilia, objectophilia, teratophilia, biasto + somno, blah blah blah you get the gist), so we're not gonna sit there and say "only [x] kind of paraphiles are allowed to interact!!!" it's just pointless and only serves to take community away from people who are already often extremely isolated because of their paraphilias, regardless of whether or not they've hurt people.

(we're also not gonna do the whole "only if you get/are getting treatment" thing--most professionals are just as terrible as the general public if not worse in our experience, and even if they weren't, treatment is only really reasonable if the paraphilia is disordered--and for a paraphilia to be disordered, it requires for there to be either distress or harm done to the self or others because of it. paraphilias, even the big three, are not disorders just by virtue of existing. (i'm sure you know this anon, just saying for the ones who don't))

} if you're (still) feeling hungry, imagine them getting you foods you like that might help calm things down--bananas, watermelon, yogurt, and whatever else you might like (so long as it doesn't trigger your symptoms worse)

} if you need to sleep, imagine them getting you set up with a bunch of pillows so you're at an incline, that way you don't have to worry as much about dealing with stomach acid flowing up while you're sleeping (or trying to, anyway)

} imagine talking to them once it's quelled or is fully over about what triggered it, and negotiating how to manage your symptoms in the future while still getting to eat foods you love when possible

Plural Ask Anon: Aah that does kind of help!! “if we're writing, we make the character version of them do something that they wouldn't.” This is the exact situation that brought about me starting to question this? I’ve always- for lack of better terminology- “heard” this character, fairly soon after starting writing for him. I get “muses” like this sometimes and thought it not too uncommon as far as i could tell, but this one is very adamant about things he would/would not do and seems to “hang out” when I’m not writing, including making commentary on my day to day life. I don’t think he’s around all the time and I think(?) I’m exclusively in control of the body (idk if he’s Tried tho? He seems uninterested in actual participation in my life???). Idk I’m just kind of like????? I’m just… confused, I guess? I like having him around and it’s not a distressing thing for me, it’s just new and unusual.

Yeah that's fair! That sounds like he could be a soulbond, possibly a daytripper (soulbond that goes back and forth between universes/realities/whatever preferred word), or a permanent resident who just isn't around at all times. A soulbond need not take control of the body, it's just something ours do, which kinda-sorta helps prove that they're not just being controlled by us.

Hi, thanks for the ask!

When it comes to our permanent residents, it comes down to the fact that they have the ability to control the body and do things that others wouldn't. Alongside, they exist in and interact with others in our otherworld, both our own headmates and natives of said otherworld (see our plurality-centric blog, @leptonyx-constellate, for more explanation of the "natives" thing). They have their own autonomy, thoughts, feelings, opinions, etc.

And then with telephone bonds, it's sort of like... a semi-stable portal opened up, which they could talk through, but not walk through. And through that portal, they're able to interact with us and influence the body to do small things like texting. Again, the whole "they have their own autonomy, thoughts, feelings, opinions, etc" thing. They can also interact with whoever's using the front, although they can't really talk to anyone else since they're not in the otherworld themselves.

And for both perma residents and telephone bonds, they'll make it pretty obvious when, say if we're writing, we make the character version of them do something that they wouldn't. (Not that they stop us from making the character version of them from doing that, just that that's not what they'd do. They're their own separate people apart from the character.) We don't feel like we're puppeteering them in any way--their actions are wholly from them, and while sometimes they might seem predictable, that's because we know the character version of them or because we know them (especially after a while of having them here), as you would with an outerworld friend whose actions you can predict, not because they perform behaviors we expect because we have some form of control over them. We also can't just change them if we don't like their personality like you would be able to with a character because, again, they're their own people.
