There is one thing that was never a part of any Sanders Sides episode and I rarely see it in fandom, but… both Patton and Janus love puns and stupid jokes. They are both elated to share their linguistic abominations with the other sides or just with the audience to make some of us suffer like Logan and pretend it’s not funny.

I would love to see a scene, where Patton says some dumb pun and Janus starts cackling like a madman (so, u know… his normal laugh). Patton is delighted and adds three or twelve more jokes, while Deceit giggles so much, he cannot even respond. Everyone else is confused, slightly amused, or annoyed and both of them have a time of their lives.

Or a moment when one side creates an ideal setup for a pun and Patton with Janus either say the joke in perfect sync, without even thinking about it, or they simply look at each other with the silent question: “you thinking what I’m thinking?” and laugh, because they both know what the other thought.

Tell me that Janus Deceit Classy Sanders would not do that. After calling Thomas Sanders to the stander-s. Or after spending half of his first endcard listing musical puns without any context. Or after pretending to be a cartoon villain for a second, just so he can make a joke about TREES ABSORBING CO2. Imagine how happy he would be to make Patton laugh with some of his word plays after so much time of being – I assume – his own only audience..

i’m awake and i have thoughts about the angst-y thought

Before Creativity split, King and Deceit were near inseparable. They were young, so they didn’t put a label on their relationship, but they loved each other.

Then the split happens, and Deceit is forced to take Virgil and the newly-formed Remus with him to the basement of the mind palace, were they can’t CorruptTM the Light sides

Deceit at first tries to see King in Remus, but slowly gives up. It’s hard to be around Remus, so Deceit spends his time supporting Virgil instead.

Virgil leaves. His room is moved from the basement to the second floor of the house, where Deceit can’t follow.

It’s been long enough that Deceit can spend time with Remus and not be reminded of King, but now he’s heartbroken that Virgil left.

Deceit decides to make himself known to Thomas, and it’s the first time that he really interacts with Roman, and all the feelings for King comes rushing back.

But Virgil seems to hate him, and Deceit can’t understand why. He returns to the basement as a mess.

During the courtroom scenario, Deceit tries to make Roman see him, because he desperately wants King back. It helps that they both want the same thing for Thomas.

Then Roman rules in favour of the wedding, and Deceit returns to the basement frustrated and heartbroken. Remus listens to his venting, and decides to take matters in his own hands.

Remus comes back from his stunt being head over heels for Logan, and Deceit is okay with it because it’s Remus.

He’s less okay when he sees Roman and Thomas together, but it’s good. Self-preservation can stand aside with a smile if the Ego and Thomas are happy.

Time passes, and Deceit is okay. He is. So that’s when Remus and Roman fuses during a video, and suddenly King is in front of them.

Deceit expects King to look towards Thomas or Logan, so he’s shocked when King kisses his hand before embracing him, showering him with words of love and affection.

It’s tense after King unfuses, Logan and Thomas confused, and Patton thinking that Deceit must be at fault. Virgil says nothing, but stands as silent support by Deceit, whose heart has broken all over again.

It hurts even more when Remus and Roman starts avoiding him.

For the first time, Deceit feels truly alone.

Virgil comes by, a quiet support as they do their own thing, but that’s it.

And then Deceit is summoned by Thomas and Logan, who had noticed their boyfriends avoiding him, and had been worried about him. Turns out that they don’t blame him, because King isn’t Roman and Remus, King is his own person.

If only King could be there without them losing Roman and Remus.

WHY MUST YOU HURT ME IN THIS WAY

Touch starved Remus. He's too stinky to be touched, right?

Yesssss. 

He can only faintly remember the last time that he’s willingly touched another person, and even then the feeling itself is something that he can’t even remember. Deceit himself is a very touch adverse person, and Virgil was always too busy being scared of him to even get close enough to touch him. So for the most part, Remus didn’t even realize what he was missing in regards to being touched by another person, there was no reason for him to want it and there was no reason for him to crave it in return. 

At least not until much much later, when he started popping up in the area where the ‘light’ sides lived in. They didn’t want him there, and that was precisely the reason he kept popping up, since it was mostly to annoy them. It’s only when he hears Roman and Virgil muttering to themselves about just how bad Remus smells that it finally hits him. 

It was that day that he watched Virgil getting hugs and as many cuddles that he wanted… actions that he’d never once get even if he asked.

It’s that night that he uses his bathtub for the first time in about a week or two, he scrubs himself so hard that it makes his skin pink and even makes him bleed in some areas. He never knew that trying to get clean would hurt so much, but he tries and tries no matter how much its hurting him. Even attempting to shave at some point during the night, which is its own mess that leaves deep chunks carved out of his legs. 

He doesn’t like this feeling, but… if it will make it where he’s able to receive love and touches like Virgil is… then he can’t stop. 

The next day everything hurts, and he’s not the only one to notice either. 

As mere minutes after he shows up, Logan drags him into the hallways. His touch burns Remus’ arm, and honestly… he doesn’t want it to stop. A couple of minutes later, Logan is cleaning and patching up the cuts that were all over his legs. 

It’s… strangely intimate, how Logan swabs his cuts and fingernail marks, how careful he is not to cause Remus any harm. It’s a touch that he’s never had before.

He likes it.

New plan – Remus ship fanfiction is allowed, nae, encouraged, but only if it’s overly tropey and still acknowledges that he’s a garbage man.  For example:

“Remus’s emerald orbs locked with Deceit’s, like deep, toxic cesspools of algae-filled sewer water.”

“Remus let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding and smirked, his rotting teeth looking even yellower against the backdrop of his gaunt, sallow skin.”

“Virgil breathed in the scent of Remus – garbage and blood and something he couldn’t identify, something uniquely him.”

“Remus stretched, his snug black shirt riding up and exposing a pale strip of rash-filled, clearly infected skin.  Logan’s mouth went dry.  Patton forgot how to breathe for a second.”
