Good Queen Daenerys Quotes
Like all good queens she put her people first—else she would never have wed Hizdahr zo Loraq. – Barristan, ADWD
“A queen must listen to all,” she reminded him. “The highborn and the low, the strong and the weak, the noble and the venal. One voice may speak you false, but in many there is always truth to be found.” – ACOK
“It seems to me that a queen who trusts no one is as foolish as a queen who trusts everyone. Every man I take into my service is a risk, I understand that, but how am I to win the Seven Kingdoms without such risks? “ – ASOS
A queen should hear all sides before reaching a decision. –ASOS
“Why do the gods make kings and queens, if not to protect the ones who can’t protect themselves?” – ASOS
Yesterday a wagon had been overturned and two of her soldiers killed, so today the queen had determined that she would bring the food herself. Every one of her advisors had argued fervently against it, from Reznak and the Shavepate to Ser Barristan, but Daenerys would not be moved. “I will not turn away from them,” she said stubbornly. “A queen must know the sufferings of her people.” – ADWD
————–
The last quote is particularly impressive. Not only is she sharing her limited supply of food with people who are suffering outside the city, she also knows that the last people who delivered the food were killed and decides to take up the danger herself. She puts herself in more danger by tending to the sick and dying and giving them comfort. All while exposing herself to disease. That is a queen. The people’s queen.

How This Episode Should Have Ended
You’re a dragon. Be a dragon.
I don’t have love here.
“When Madonna came out with her hit “Vogue” you knew it was over. She’d taken a very specifically queer, transgender, Latino and African-American phenomenon and totally erased that context with lyrics about how “It makes no difference if you’re black or white, if you’re a boy or a girl.” Madonna was taking in tons of money, while the Queen who actually taught her how to vogue was sitting on a table in front of me, broke. So if anybody requested “Vogue” or any other Madonna track, I just told them, “No, this is a Madonna-free zone! And as long as I’m DJ-ing, you will not be allowed to vogue to the decontextualized, reified, corporatized, liberalized, neutralized, asexualized, re-genderized pop reflection of this dance floor’s reality!””
— DJ Sprinkles - Ball'r (Madonna-Free Zone)
THIS!
It feels like D&D are trying to ruin as many characters as posible before the show is over
taking note of how quickly men calm down after you bend to their will is life-changing because you realize they were never really out of control, they were never really as angry and affected as they appeared. they just knew how to act out aggresssively enough to make you believe it was your fault that they lost their senses.
in 2019 we start recognizing men’s manipulation tactics and start living for ourselves!
They were never really out of control.
