Not sure how many people still follow this blog but I’ve come to bring sad news

October 18th, 2023, Nessie had to be put to sleep due to nerves in her spine slowly deteriorating and making it difficult for her to breathe. It had gotten to a point where she lost feeling in her back legs and couldn’t walk. It was an extremely hard decision, and she’s missed every day. It’s still very hard to spend days without her, which is why I’m leaving this blog with this information now and not sooner. I don’t know if I’ll be keeping this blog anymore with her gone but just know that there’ll be no more coming from this blog entirely from here on out, as I had planned to come back to it eventually.

Seeing as it’s been about 24 hours or close to it since my post debating on what’s next for Nessie’s blog, I have come to a decision. From now on, LochNessPom will be put on a hiatus indefinitely unless I come back stating otherwise. I will not be deleting this blog in case I ever want to come back to it but as of this post, there will not be any further updates to this blog.

Nessie and I would like to thank everyone who has followed her thus far, and we thank you for your support! It means a lot to us. This is goodbye for now but not forever!

Fighting the urge to make another blog for just art/Pokemon but I keep having to remind myself that the reason my old art blog is dead is because I can’t keep up with more than one blog. -sigh-

Heavy debate on dropping my dog/pet blog and just occasionally posting photos of my dog here instead (@lochnesspom) cause I haven’t been able to even keep up with that one lately. Might have to sit on this thought for a day or two cause- I got so much art I wanna share? I feel my posts on this blog itself has been random enough as it is, so I’ll have to come up with a more organized approach to my posts. We’ll just have to see tomorrow (or later today looking at the time now)

So, fair warning to peeps who follow my pupper @lochnesspom. It’s going under debate if that blog will go down and Nessie will be brought to my main blog for occasional appearances due to my lack of motivation for photography in general and my inability to keep up with more than one blog consistently. I have 3 right now and one is already dead because I didn’t have a reason to keep it up, which it might soon come back for its original purpose plus Pokemon. I’m unsure if I’ll keep Nessie’s blog up for viewing purposes or take it down completely, I’d hate to leave it out to rot but at the same time I know some people really like seeing those pictures. Lemme know what you guys think.

Can’t wait to get back to taking more pictures of Nessie and her buddies! As a high-risk person, quarantine has had me slowly going insane with being cooped up inside.

So recently we’ve had a sad reminder that my mother’s dog, Jetta, doesn’t have much time left with us. Lately she had been having seizures and falling off the couch from them, which she had to go on meds for it.

It’s also disheartening cause Nessie isn’t that much younger than Jetta. They are about a year and a half apart (Jetta - 12, Nessie - 10). Please keep Jetta in your thoughts! She’s going through a lot right now, that poor old pupper
