     He frowns. Witches weren’t his area of expertise. Really, Bonnie was the only one that he knew, and she was fine. Barring a few stints with dark magic. Still, he can see how bothered Liv is. Reaching up as she exhaled, Tyler brushes his fingers over her temple before tucking a stray curl back behind her shoulder.  ❝ Look, I don’t get any of this. ❞  But if he’s being perfectly honest, the idea of the merge scares the shit out of him. Losing her terrifies the shit out of him. But this is one of those things that he doesn’t get a say in. Granted, when it comes to her he’s not so sure there’s much he gets a say in. She blows in like a tornado and wrecks havoc on his already fucked up life. His gaze drops to the remaining smear of blood on her chin and his hand gently moves to curl beneath her jaw, thumb wiping away the rest of the red smear.  ❝ But I know you’re tough. And you scare the shit outta me. And if there’s anyone that can face off against centuries of weird...twin magic, it’s you. ❞  And maybe it’s selfish, wanting her to lose everything at the cost of him keeping her, but god he hopes when it comes down to it, she’s the one that walks away.

    It is almost closing time, and with a hazy and tired stare, Liv begins to tidy up the bar and surrounding area. The previous evening had been a rough one, and she had the scars to prove it, the evidence of blood that once spilled , stained against her porcelain skin. She is not phased, nor was she ever, and continues life as normal – as normal as one could do. Stopping harshly, she hears the subtle creak of the door , the scrape of the wooden frame against the old dusty floor. Her hands tighten over the neck of the glass bourbon bottle, tightening as the person protruded closer. Her guard was up, sharpened hands become frightful, a shake looming on her finger tips as she turns her gaze to the sound of the intruder. frightful gazes exchanged, before she softens at who it was.

     “  You nearly frightened the life out of me,  jackass. ”

   He knows exactly where to find her, especially when she doesn’t bother to return a single text. Not that that’s unusual for her. Or them. She likes playing aloof, likes pretending to hate him, he likes pretending he doesn’t really give a shit whether she does or not --- but all that disappears the moment he sees the smudge of blood on her temple. She tenses, then relaxes, when she seems to notice him, and the words that follow next lack their usual bite. Stepping closer, Tyler lifts a hand slowly --- fully aware that he risks her swatting it away --- before he ( gently as he can ) wipes away the spot of blood, the corner of his mouth pulling into a frown as a wave of...what? Anger? Protectiveness? She’s not his, she sure as shit won’t take kindly to him being on edge over something as trivial as her being hurt.   ❝ I have that effect on people, ❞   He finally responds, voice lacking any of its usual cockiness as he gives her a concerned look.  ❝ What happened? ❞
