It was a risk for Katherine to return to Mystic Falls , but once word of Kai Parker’s return from the prison world reached her , she simply couldn’t stay away. His twisted past and overall blase demeanour piqued her devious interest and she simply had to meet him in order to find out just how kindred their spirits really were.
She skulked the outskirts of the boarding school , impatiently waiting for him to make an appearance. She was about to give up on the whole ordeal but then she saw him. Her breath hitched in her throat ; he was far more attractive than she was expecting , and the dark aura that seemed to emanate from him caused a small shiver to crash through her frame. She caught her bottom lip between her lips as her predatory gazed tracked him across the lawn as he drew nearer to her.
She held back in the shadows , waiting for the optimal time to strike. Swiftly she leapt out , pinning him forcefully against a tree. “ Kai Parker, I presume? “ Her speech was slow and deliberate , her gaze intently locked on his. “ I’m Katherine Pierce , although , I’m sure you already know that - I hear your quite the little fan of mine. “ Challengingly , she cocked a brow while mischevous smirk began to creep onto her lips.
