What's it like dealing with Bane and Croc? Who's stronger/harder to handle?
Lots of questions here, I'll work my way through them starting with easier one of these to answer: Bane.
Now the thing with Bane is that he has never been arrested for his acts of terrorism on Gotham and has fled back to wherever the hell he's from. Even if he was arrested I doubt he'd qualify for this place, his actions are far too calculated to argue the insanity plea. Even in this city.
That being said, he has been to the asylum before. During his crime spree, he blew a hole in the place and it caused a mass breakout that allowed various prisoners to escape into Gotham. All this happened before my time here of course, with Arkham's terrible security measures frankly I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner.
I am very confident when I say that we could handle something like this now with the more updated security of the asylum. Not that I'm encouraging Bane or any would-be bomber to attempt this of course.
Now, purely hypothetically speaking, if Bane were apprehended and brought here I reckon he wouldn't be too difficult to manage. Obviously, due to his experience and connections, he'd be housed in maximum security with the rest of the dangerous and volatile prisoners. His steroid would be recreated by our chemists and given to him in small doses, just enough to keep him going as we are aware of his addiction. And from there it's standard procedure, searches the cell for any contraband daily, gives him his food, etc. Then the doctors can get to work in finding all the horrible things that happened in his life, cure him and his addiction,,,, and then we can send him on his merry way to Blackgate where he can do the rest of his sentence.
Overall not an extremely difficult inmate to deal with, though of course,,,, we're always careful here with the high-risk patients.
Speaking of which, let's talk about Waylon.
Now "Killer Croc" is a special case of a high-risk patient, he is a metahuman which means he is housed in the lower levels of the asylum. We call this area "The Basement". This area houses most of the metahuman prisoners and is the most updated part of the asylum, completed with various labs for our research teams to develop counters to these super criminal's abilities. Each prisoner here is fitted with an inhibitor collar of course but supplying the authorities with the necessary means of dealing with them should they get out is reasonable.
Some prisoners, like Killer Croc, require specialized cells. His cell is fitted with a small pool of warm water which keeps him calm while he's in the cell. Which, needless to say, is VERY good for us.
But anyways this isn't a tour, moving on to the procedures with Waylon for a moment:
The standard stuff is to give him his food which due to his.... unique diet is mostly meat. Two to three times a day as is the norm.
Since Waylon can't really do much from within his cell it's not necessary or recommended to enter the cell while he's in there, when we need to go in we simply knock him out with harmless drugs through the cell's filtration system. We then do what we need to do, usually just a simple cleaning,,,, and then leave him alone.
To prevent any accidents his inhibitor collar is fitted with a shock implant.
Waylon does have an assigned doctor but little to no progress seems to be made, he's still the same old crazy crocodile man I knew as when I first met him.
As for what Waylon is like. Weeeeeeell that's a bit tricky to explain as his mood can shift drastically from just an angry bastard that just wants to be left alone to a wild animal that... also wants to be left alone but in this state is where his cannibalistic tendencies rise to the extreme as he will attempt to kill and eat anyone in his cell. Just recently one of the feeding crew almost got pulled into his cell by Waylon because, according to him, "He was getting tired of the same old meat and wanted something different".
Also considering that he ate my predecessor's hand, well- I'm not taking any chances with prisoners like Waylon.
As for your "Who would win in a fight" question, as security our job is to prevent violent confrontation between patients not encourage it. However! Purely for the question's sake?
My money's on Waylon.
Sooo yeah that's both of them hopefully that answer's satisfactory and if there's anything you need me to elaborate on just let me know.
