Carol’s hands smoothed down the sides of her dress as she stepped onto to the doorstep – her lips curling into a smooth, confident smile. She hit the buzzer for Barry’s loft without any hesitation – easing back onto her heels as she knew she wouldn’t have to wait very long for him to answer.

She’d never worn this dress before; she just bought it yesterday. She was fairly certain she never would have if it wasn’t for this power that had been given to her – this sweet thrum of erotic rage that allowed her to not give a damn if a dress was a bit too low cut to be considered classy, or a bit too tight for her to be seen as a professional. It was the same power that made her realize a broken heart couldn’t be healed through pathetic sobs and telenovelas – that revenge was the only way to achieve satisfaction. That ruining everything good in Hal Jordan’s life was the only way for him to realize, for him to know how she felt.

She pulled herself from her musings once Barry answered the door, looking up at him through long lashes, feigning innocence.

“Can I come in, handsome?”

The knock to his door shocks Barry out of his food eating frenzy . Blue eyes snap first to the door ; then to the mound of empty containers . Within a second he’d cleaned the mess , taken it to the tip & run toward the door . Only a moment taken to make sure he wasn’t wearing mustard before a hand reaches out , swinging the door open .

Confusion laces his expression when greeted with a very dressed up Carol . He was far from oblivious on the events in Hal’s relationship with her & that only feeds his confusion .
