You can’t just “be done” with someone you love. You just can’t. I got cheated on and to this day I still care about the guy who did it to me. Would I get back with him? Hell no. But we’re still acquaintances and talk every now and then and I still love him. I may not love him in the same way I once did, but it’s still love. And I’m not “done” with him.
