Then again, it wasn’t always routine, seeming as he had only been living with the not-so mysterious outlaw for a few weeks now. That to the now very much awake male, seemed almost impossible.

A soft hum left Patton as he smiled thoughtfully towards the one beside him. Looking rather still, as if he were a statue that was tucked into bed.

For a quick check, the slightly concerned cowboy took hold of Logan’s shoulder, shaking it from side to side so he could get a short answer of life. Be that a sleepy exhale or an annoyed groan. Either way, it’d give the paranoid man peace of mind.

It was a weird day when an outlaw hears the phrase “You don’t have to get your guns involved” regarding a threat. Especially from another outlaw. He looked borderline concerned for Patton’s wellbeing, as the other went over to pick up the abandoned items.

“This seems more serious than you are making it out to be. I worry about you, Patton. The way I cut ties with my old gang was by cutting every other member’s throat,” he huffed, leaning on the side of his horse. Crofters gave a soft neigh when he did this.

Still, he supposed he should drop it. Patton certainly sounded like he wanted to, it just didn’t sit right to do nothing. With a sigh, he lets Patton go, using the time he had to saddle up his horse.

“That may be how you deal with these types of situations, but not me, Lo…” he said with a clear dissapointed tone. It wasn’t towards Logan’s explanation to what he did to his members, it was more of self-doubt. The fact that he stole and killed people for a living made him sound weak for not wanting to off two people who threatened him and his lover’s life like- it wasn’t a big deal.

It was a huge deal.

Patton came back out to see his worried partner sorted for a day out. He walked over patting the side of crofter’s head before using his other hand to take Logan’s cheek. Pulling him in for a short kiss on the lips, his natural warm smile staying on his face as he looked up into the outlaw’s eyes. “Ya don’t gotta worry about them love, as much as I appreciate you being protective of me. Logan had a deeply worried look etched into his expression as he watched the other leave, a short sigh coming from him. He supposed he would have to be extra careful, extra paranoid of anybody around them. He already was, but now the price of a mistake was higher than his own life- he valued Patton above all else.

It wasn't a good start to being vigilant, though, because with the thoughts in his head he didn't even notice Patton return- at least, not until the other cupped his cheek. He blinked down at him in surprise, his eyes closing over at the sweet kiss. It was like his worries melted away when Patton did things like that, and he quietly appreciated it.

"... Hmph," was his reply, hopping up onto his horse and grabbing the reins. "Right... A typical tuesday." He turns his horse, beginning to trot out of the clearing- though, he made sure to slow down for Patton to follow.

The pinch to his cheek only made him wriggle and giggle more. Scrunching his nose at the sensation whilst twisting to get his face back. Although as the other took his morning stretch he gave him a quick hug before sliding to the side and off the table.

“Rightio! Not a minute later, we got a good but of sunlight the now,” he made aware, walking over to the cupboard and cabinets to see what it is they will be “borrowing” from the town.

Naturally, the outlaw himself seemed to have a sense when other’s were around so he would have time to react. However, since this house was in the middle of a small forest, Patton had lowered his guard. Letting himself walk around the living room without a care in the world before heading out to go find pumpkin.

“I’ll be outside, honeybunch!” he announced upstairs before quickly grabbing and slipping on a pair of spare trousers from the basket in the kitchen and slipping them on. Heading on to the front porch and taking in the morning breeze with a smile.

Softspoken birds flew through the windy breeze of the day. The trees rustled, the water of the lake splashed when ducks and frogs landed inside. The sound of hooves going up the road thundered though the area.

Two Appaloosa horses and their bewildered riders race across the small bridge, skidding to a halt several feet away from Patton. Rumor had it that when Patton had disappeared from his camp, he ended up around Lemoyne- weeks later, and the camp leader’s scouts finally found him.

“Jesus, Patty- what the hell you doin’, holing up here in ol’ Shady Belle? This place hasn’t been touched in years,” the rider on the left says, flicking up his white hat.

“That the point, you hermit? You tryna run away from us?” The rider on the right folded his arms and huffed, clearly annoyed.

All he had and ever needed, was Logan. Even now he knew this, but the slow bits of worry boggled his mind. Wondering what his camp leader would say if she ever found out where he was.

“Yall must of been worried sick- a-and that ain’t like me to just head off without letting the rest of yall know, but I promise I’m happy and healthy! I’m no hermit, just… finding out what there is more to this life, ya know? I hope yall can forgive me a-a truly do, I’m real sorry…”

Logan was clearly shooting from the balcony, but the moment he made his point that they aren’t welcome there, he had went right back into the house like it was nothing. Danny stared at the balcony like a ghost was just shooting at them. “Oh, fuck this- fuck this!” He grabbed the reins, kicking at his horse to run right back across the bridge, and out of the area.

Rover cursed in pain, and turned to follow him, but not before pointing his good hand at Patton. “Control your fuckin’ friend, yeah? We’re coming after you. Ain’t no way you can stop us.”

The tresspassers were gone soon after the threat, nothing but a hat, a revolver, and several hoofmarks on the ground to mark where they once were. They rode home to tell the camp that Patton’s gone off, and probably wasn’t coming back. That was a problem.

But she seemed okay with Patton, because she rests her giant head on the other’s when the cowboy came to comfort the horses. “Everything okay out here?” He asks, flicking up his hat. “Seemed like a bit of trouble, earlier. Do we have a problem we need to kill?”

The rider suddenly screamed in pain, dropping his revolver to the grass below- the arrow went by so fast he didn’t even see it, but it landed right in his shooting hand. He hissed loudly, trying to pull out the arrow and gain control of his horse at the same time.

Logan was clearly shooting from the balcony, but the moment he made his point that they aren’t welcome there, he had went right back into the house like it was nothing. Danny stared at the balcony like a ghost was just shooting at them. “Oh, fuck this- fuck this!” He grabbed the reins, kicking at his horse to run right back across the bridge, and out of the area.

Rover cursed in pain, and turned to follow him, but not before pointing his good hand at Patton. “Control your fuckin’ friend, yeah? We’re coming after you. Ain’t no way you can stop us.”

Patton tilted his head, slightly confused as to why he didn’t believe him. Of course he understood why she’d send them out to find him, it had been weeks…

“It’s okay buddy, they’re scared off by Lo, don’t worry,” he calmed the dark horse, petting the side of his head. Pumpkin’s heart patch being clapped by his other hand. “I’ll get ya cleaned up, hm? Maybe a town trip will take all our minds off of that.

The tresspassers were gone soon after the threat, nothing but a hat, a revolver, and several hoofmarks on the ground to mark where they once were. They rode home to tell the camp that Patton's gone off, and probably wasn't coming back. That was a problem.

Crofters made a sort of annoyed bray sound, her ears flat. She doesn't like people all too much. But she seemed okay with Patton, because she rests her giant head on the other's when the cowboy came to comfort the horses. About five minutes later, the horse's owner had exited the house, dressed and backed. The spurs on his boots click-clack as he walks over to Patton with his hands in his pockets, his bow over his shoulder.

"Everything okay out here?" He asks, flicking up his hat. "Seemed like a bit of trouble, earlier. Do we have a problem we need to kill?"

The morning sun was almost becoming a nuisance to the resting cowboy as he tried to get a few more minutes into his resting hours, as it seemed he forgot to close the curtains fully over last night. Then again, it wasn’t always routine, seeming as he had only been living with the not-so mysterious outlaw for a few weeks now. That to the now very much awake male, seemed almost impossible.

A soft hum left Patton as he smiled thoughtfully towards the one beside him. Looking rather still, as if he were a statue that was tucked into bed.

For a quick check, the slightly concerned cowboy took hold of Logan’s shoulder, shaking it from side to side so he could get a short answer of life. Be that a sleepy exhale or an annoyed groan. Either way, it’d give the paranoid man peace of mind.

“Sugar?… honey-honey, it’s bright an’ early! C'mon up don’t waste the day now.”

The pinch to his cheek only made him wriggle and giggle more. Scrunching his nose at the sensation whilst twisting to get his face back. Although as the other took his morning stretch he gave him a quick hug before sliding to the side and off the table.

“Rightio! Not a minute later, we got a good but of sunlight the now,” he made aware, walking over to the cupboard and cabinets to see what it is they will be “borrowing” from the town.

Naturally, the outlaw himself seemed to have a sense when other’s were around so he would have time to react. However, since this house was in the middle of a small forest, Patton had lowered his guard. Letting himself walk around the living room without a care in the world before heading out to go find pumpkin.

“I’ll be outside, honeybunch!” he announced upstairs before quickly grabbing and slipping on a pair of spare trousers from the basket in the kitchen and slipping them on. Heading on to the front porch and taking in the morning breeze with a smile.

Patton’s nicknames always warmed his heart. Hearing him call out through the house made him pause and smile like an idiot to absolutely nobody- he had to clear his throat and scold himself, getting back to what he was doing.

Softspoken birds flew through the windy breeze of the day. The trees rustled, the water of the lake splashed when ducks and frogs landed inside. The sound of hooves going up the road thundered though the area.

“… Is that-? What in tarnation’s he doin’ out here?”

“Shit, he really ain’t dead, ain’t he?”

Two Appaloosa horses and their bewildered riders race across the small bridge, skidding to a halt several feet away from Patton. Rumor had it that when Patton had disappeared from his camp, he ended up around Lemoyne- weeks later, and the camp leader’s scouts finally found him.

“Jesus, Patty- what the hell you doin’, holing up here in ol’ Shady Belle? This place hasn’t been touched in years,” the rider on the left says, flicking up his white hat.

“That the point, you hermit? You tryna run away from us?” The rider on the right folded his arms and huffed, clearly annoyed.

A wash of guilt was clearly poured over him with the way he hung his head, clasping his hands together so he could finally give an apology.

“Yall must of been worried sick- a-and that ain’t like me to just head off without letting the rest of yall know, but I promise I’m happy and healthy! I’m no hermit, just… finding out what there is more to this life, ya know? I hope yall can forgive me a-a truly do, I’m real sorry…”

A perk of having long hair is: you get to hide your eyes in it like your own personal curtain. The sun shined relentlessly, warming up the broken, worn out house- yet Logan didn’t move an inch. One of his unappreciated talents was sleeping anywhere, at any time.

However, sleeping next to the one he loved certainly wasn’t the roughest night he’s had.

He was awake the moment he felt Patton’s eyes on his back, but he didn’t feel the need to move, yet. The groggiest part of him hoped the cowboy would simply go back to sleep, but it seemed like he was ready for the day, and he was ready to take Logan with him.

Logan moved like a stubborn rock when he slowly turned over, taking a hold of Patton’s hand. Briefly brushing his thumb over his knuckles, the outlaw suddenly pulls him closer, hugging him tightly against his bare chest and closing his eyes.

“Now, is it truly a day wasted, if it is spent all day in bed, with you?” He asks, resting his chin on Patton’s head. “You could be my pillow. A pillow with a figurative heart of gold.”

The slow turn was both unexpected but very much in character with the man. What was not so much was the sudden yoink that was displayed by the other. Patton letting out a short gasp before falling into soft giggles once he realised it was a hug and not an attack.

“Hehe… goodness I thought you were gonna throw me off the bed, this is way better,” he showed with a content hum. Wrapping his arms round to Logan’s back. Instinctively pressing a few kisses to his chest.

“Don’t be gettin’ all sweet on me now, ya know I’d be able to fall for it! Now- we got stuff to do today, after all a trip into the town is definetely needed. It’s not like we can live out here forever, love. As wonderful as it seems,” he admits, nudging his head up a little to bounce his chin a little. Patton had to admit he was feeling sleepy again with the way Logan held him, the position making him feel secure and safe, but he was determined to stick to a plan.

Patton’s giggling was music to his ears, and he never thought in his life that he’d think something so sickeningly sweet like that. But here he is, holding a box of laughs that Logan couldn’t imagine living without. He was moments from falling back asleep again, but then Patton mentioned a trip to town. After all, towns are money, and money always got his attention.

“Oh? Are we going to shoot up a general store, today?” Logan looked down at Patton, brushing his calloused fingers across his cheek. The cowboy had his mind on robbery and robbery alone.

“If we are doing a bit of running, you will have to give me time to replace Crofter’s horse shoes. Smart girl, she is, but her hooves are quite sensitive…” He hums softly, gazing up at the broken ceiling. Mornings were always hard to get started, Logan having to pull the cobwebs out of the gears in his head.

“My rifle needs a bit of maintaining, too, oh- but we can always steal gun oil on the way out. Do they keep the expensive brand on the shelves, I wonder?” He rambles on, petting through Patton’s hair as he did so.

And to think he was going to be able to fight the outlaws soft side, yet here he was getting petted and being shown Logan’s more curious side. It’s one of his favourite sides, seeing the pure will to complete a job in his eyes was always a wonder.

The strokes to his cheek was what began the tired feeling in his eyes, each question and set act was followed by a few sleepy “mhm"s. Patton gently letting his eyelids close over to be emersed in the sensation.

Nods became weaker as Logan was beginning to trail off in his thoughts and leading the smaller outlaw to sneak in a quick nap. Letting the other take the reigns in following through with the plan.

“Mhn-yeah… pumpkin probably needs a quick clean up… too… hmmm-maybe a 5 minute nap won’t hurt,” he adds quick before becoming dead weight. Letting the fingers send him into a relaxed state.

”…“ Logan pressed his lips together, raising an eyebrow down at the other. He had stopped his day-planning to watch Patton effortlessly fall back asleep in his arms, confused at first- before he realized he probably just enjoyed the way he was petting his hair. He chuckles softly, pulling Patton onto his lap.

“Oh, I see how it is. You get me all excited for a morning heist, and then fall back asleep so I can plan all the details? Goodness, you are more clever than me, sometimes.” Logan tuts disapprovingly, his arms wrapped around his waist as he kisses at his neck to try and wake him up.

Of course Patton hadn’t conked then and there, though he felt no reason to give an answer, after all, Logan was as right as ever. The “sleeping” outlaw having to suppress a cheeky smile as he was being pulled onto his lap. Letting his head lull to the side until it was being kissed at.

“Mrm… carry me-” was all he muttered as he turned his head to hide from the sweet act of kisses. Letting his legs squeeze close to Logan’s hips as he held on.

“I can make breakfast before we head-” he quietly added to try and entice him.

Logan pulled back a little when Patton turned his head, finding Patton’s little negotiations to be amusing. He makes a show of tilting his head and humming in deep thought, idly running his hand over the faded scars on Patton’s chest.

“You drive a hard bargain. I wouldn’t expect anything less from you, sunrise.” With one more kiss to his forehead, he lifts Patton up in his arms, carrying him bridal style as he, regrettably, gets up out of his comfy bed. It was times like these where he felt like falling right back into the fur blankets, but he had a man in his arms that might not take too kindly to that.

“Though, not sure if you can make anything with how little we got in the ice box… Maybe a trip to town is a good idea,” he muses, pursing his lips.

The smile of one getting their way with such a sneaky tactic was shown on Patton’s face once he was lifted up. Granted the tracing to his chest wad quite comforting, but the other holding him close, making sure he didn’t fall to the floor below was just as worth it.

It felt as though he had been living here with Logan for years, but it had only been a few weeks. Of course there wasn’t anything that would make his mind believe something different would happen, so he basked in every moment with pure relaxation and love.

Once he was on the table and the cowboy caught Logan’s smirk, he couldn’t help but turn his head before leaning forward and kissing his cheek. "Thanks for the trip, sweetheart.”

Then again, it wasn’t always routine, seeming as he had only been living with the not-so mysterious outlaw for a few weeks now. That to the now very much awake male, seemed almost impossible.

A soft hum left Patton as he smiled thoughtfully towards the one beside him. Looking rather still, as if he were a statue that was tucked into bed.

For a quick check, the slightly concerned cowboy took hold of Logan’s shoulder, shaking it from side to side so he could get a short answer of life. Be that a sleepy exhale or an annoyed groan. Either way, it’d give the paranoid man peace of mind.

A perk of having long hair is: you get to hide your eyes in it like your own personal curtain. The sun shined relentlessly, warming up the broken, worn out house- yet Logan didn’t move an inch. One of his unappreciated talents was sleeping anywhere, at any time.

“Now, is it truly a day wasted, if it is spent all day in bed, with you?” He asks, resting his chin on Patton’s head. “You could be my pillow. A pillow with a figurative heart of gold.”

“Hehe… goodness I thought you were gonna throw me off the bed, this is way better,” he showed with a content hum. Wrapping his arms round to Logan’s back. Instinctively pressing a few kisses to his chest.

“Don’t be gettin’ all sweet on me now, ya know I’d be able to fall for it! Now- we got stuff to do today, after all a trip into the town is definetely needed. It’s not like we can live out here forever, love. As wonderful as it seems,” he admits, nudging his head up a little to bounce his chin a little. Patton had to admit he was feeling sleepy again with the way Logan held him, the position making him feel secure and safe, but he was determined to stick to a plan.

“If we are doing a bit of running, you will have to give me time to replace Crofter’s horse shoes. Smart girl, she is, but her hooves are quite sensitive…” He hums softly, gazing up at the broken ceiling. Mornings were always hard to get started, Logan having to pull the cobwebs out of the gears in his head.

“My rifle needs a bit of maintaining, too, oh- but we can always steal gun oil on the way out. Do they keep the expensive brand on the shelves, I wonder?” He rambles on, petting through Patton’s hair as he did so.
