How did they know which babies to smother? How did anyone know who was capable of birthing babies in the first place???
They magically always knew whose's genital to mutilate
They’ve always known who to rape. Who to forcibly impregnate. Which fetuses to abort en-masse. Who to burn at the stake. Who to put into menstrual huts. Where to check to see if the hymen is still intact, just to make sure they’re still “pure.” They’ve always known who gets to be written as gods and heroes saviors and providers, and who is written to serve them, deemed sinful, subservient, the downfall of humanity. Who to force to cover themselves. Who to keep from education. Men of every race and religion, across all time periods, have always known who to oppress. Saying otherwise is denying the suffering of centuries of women.
