Hello! ~ Been a while.

I can't remember the last time I actually had a thread going here (specifically on this blog not one of my side blogs), just that it was somewhere at the beginning of last year. I took an (in)voluntary hiatus for a few reasons; I felt somewhat burnt out with writing, burnt out with One Piece and school was becoming overwhelming. I stopped writing, studied, wrote all my tests, got through my final exams, graduated and got my Abitur!

With that out of the way I am planning on slowly making my way back on this blog. I miss my muses (especially Jack) and writing with you guys. I won't get back to writing immediately, I want to give this blog a slight update -mostly updating the bios and pages before starting any threads again.

I will keep y'all updated :)

IMPORTANT UPDATE ON BTE

the @staff just recently made a post stating that on may 15th, 2023 they're going to start the process of switching the LTE over to BTE for anyone who made a blog prior to november 26, 2022. so y'all don't have to read the whole entire post i'll just put everything they said in layman's terms here.

the change starts may 15, 2023 and they're hoping to finish migrating by july 15, 2023. in other words? people will have anywhere between one to three months to still use LTE before you're forced into using BTE. so keep that in mind.

the tumblr app isn't affected by this update. this is because they apparently made the switch well over four years ago. i don't use the app so i wouldn't know.

new blogs aren't affected by this update. that's because anyone who made a blog on or after november 26, 2022 has to use BTE no matter what.

BTE is more inclusive with being able to add various media to your post. i highly recommend y'all to give this post a look at since it shows what each of the icons do in BTE. i also recommend y'all to just reblog it to use as a reference later on down the road.

and then we have the How can you prepare for this change? section.

get used to BTE now. by switching over to BTE now will help you get a better understanding of how things work sooner than later. not only that but you're also doing your mutuals that are stuck using BTE a huuuuuge favor by using BTE.

communication is key. found a bug or a glitch while using BTE?? send feedback. let the staff know what's up so they can fix it. simple as that.

custom themes may look wonky with BTE. idk how to state this except to ask people who are skilled in coding if everything looks fine. most people just keep their blogs DASH ONLY for simplicity's sake.

trim reblogs tutorial. @rpschtuff made a super duper awesome — and up-to-date — tutorial on how to trim posts. i definitely recommend giving that a look at.

I finally managed to update my rules page. I am noway near finished with updating his blog, especially since I am still questioning what muses to include and which fandoms to focus on in the future.

I did not want to add onto this post, because it isn't quiet the topic the op were discussing, but they make a very important point. People online have a tendency when they try to warn others about sensitive content or call attention to sensitive content, that they will directly expose the people they claim to protect to it.

Not to long ago there was a huge discourse on twitter regarding a character from one of my fandoms and their was a lot of blatant transphobia and harassment of artists/ writers and trans people. It was not pretty. Some people started to speak up about this issue and how casual transphobia has always been accepted by part of the fandom, which is fair.

But some people were also just posting screenshots of someone saying something transphobic or harassing without any warnings for some reason. That was upsetting for someone like me and although I addressed this a few times most people wouldn't stop. It was pretty frustrating and one of the reasons I stepped back from twitter for while. There isn't really a conclusion to this, except that I find it all rather hypocritical to claim to care so much about transphobia and trans people but at the same time not care about the well being of trans people around you.
