“Why sit ye silent, / swollen with pride, ye gods And no answer give?”

“Also counted among the Aesir is one whom some call Slanderer of the Gods, the Source of Deceit, and the Disgrace of All Gods and Men…Loki is pleasing, even beautiful to look at, but his nature is evil and he is undependable. More than others, he has the kind of wisdom known as cunning, and is treacherous in all matters.” - Gylfaginning
Loki and Sigyn by Iren Horrors
In Norse mythology, Sigyn is a goddess of fidelity and is the wife of Loki. Sigyn stays with Loki during his punishment. He is bound by the guts of his own son, the only fetters that he cannot destroy, and the venom of a snake drips onto his face. She holds out a bowl to catch the dripping venom. However, when the bowl becomes full she leaves to pour it out. As a result, Loki is described as shaking so violently that the planet shakes, and this process repeats until he breaks free, setting Ragnarök into motion.

A trickster for these trying times.
Have a myth Loki/Ian Anderson mashup because Jethro Tull slaps.
Someone on Twitter called this “Lokimotive Breath” and I’m IN LOVE.
(If you’ve never heard Locomotive Breath, do yourself a favor.)

Dances with Tricksters: Loki by ReneeVonMorren
“Uproar’s your only music.” -Keats
Loki takes many forms in the myths, of course, but I always pictured him as very physically active, and as a result, looking wiry and almost balletic. He’s got to be quick to get out of the skirmishes he always causes, right? Plus, in my mind, he’s always appeared a little “wilder” than the other gods, more elemental and raw, less apt to look polished and godly (unless it suits his goals) and more prone to, you know…crouching in trees and scaring the crap out of everybody. And then laughing himself hoarse about it all later.

I hope this world has nothing to sate you, and the snake of iron cuffs shall sleep in your arms.
