The amazing thing about fandoms is how people are going to write a six-page essay in response to some other person’s three-page essay to explain some unexplainable plot point which was clearly a) a mistake, b) an oversight or c) a ‘this is just how it works in that world and fuck it’ moment in the creator’s mind with absolute sincerity and dedication. Tbh I don’t know if I’m impressed or fed up by many fans’ inability to just say ‘Look, it doesn’t work but it looks cool and that’s why they did it, no hidden reason, no logic, no brain’.
